Two Men. One Choice. When the handsome and charming Marquess of Oakham, Julian Wareham, turns his dark-blue eyes her way, Rosalie Curtis cannot believe her luck. Wealthy, titled, and well loved, the marquess is a man who could secure not only her future but also that of her family. It seems impossible that he would look to her, a shy and insecure woman, quickly approaching her prime; but here he is, the answer to her family's prayers. Yet no matter how handsome the man or how decent the match… there is another who also stirs her heart.

After finishing this audiobook I sat and thought about it - What was it that held my interest and kept me listening? And then I realised that the author had captured the idea that it's not only who you know, but what you know about them that is important.
The story tells of a young lady who knows just what and who she does and doesn't want in her life. After two unsuccessful seasons her well-wed and all-knowing aunt takes her in with the intention of finding her a good marriage partner and suddenly there are two potentials.
Besides some very colourful characters there are mysteries to be solved in this clean, enjoyable and easy to listen to story.
Marion Hussey did a good job of the narration and she and the author, Rosie Wynter, have made a good team.

This is Vane and Estelle's story and what a story it is!
She is the lost sister of Fabian, the pirate from book 3 and she really believes that her history of the past 8 years makes her unworthy to be part of her original society level and status, so she keeps away from the man who has always loved her as well as from her brother.
Vane has been tricked into finding her so does all he can to do this.
In this story you will meet up with an evil, conniving temptress, some of the characters from the last book and some very endearing new characters too.
I loved the way this tale was like a web of exciting or delightful scenes passing easily, one to the other and making it into a very readable and enjoyable book.
Adele Clee and Liisa Ivary have shown once again how great teamwork can entertain a reader and make one feel as if they are participating in a story and so I am very happy to recommend it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book from the very first page right to the last one and it is my humble opinion that this series will outdo all the others by this talented author.
This story is full of love, mischief, an adventure and a few mysteries to be solved. The 'bad' man also shows his cunning and horrid plans for the future of Sophie, our heroine, but Sebastian is determined to keep her safe. And thank goodness for that!
I particularly loved the way both Sophie and Sebastian admitted to their love for each other. That truly was a heartwarming scene.
Mary Phillips has injected an enthusiastic and merry spark into this story with her professional and capable narration.
I eagerly await the next in this series but until then am quite happy to recommend both this story and the audio version of it as totally captivating, clever and entertaining and hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

A pirate and his lady, her brother and the pirate's missing sister combine to make this story a captivating mystery romance.
There are so many exciting twists and turns in this page-turner and because they have been well plotted and cleverly written and equally well narrated, I found myself listening with the thought of "just one more chapter and...", but it became more and more difficult as the story unfolded to get on with the mundane everyday tasks.
I just love it when this happens! To me it means that I am reading or listening to a story that is really worth raving about.

Wow! This is an amazing story by Audrey Harrison. It is totally different to what I have read or listened to in her other books but as usual it is well written and cleverly put together.
This one has a modern day beginning, time travel to 200 years ago and landing up in a fantastic adventure and love story that captivated me and had me engrossed virtually non-stop the whole of today.
If you want a great story then this is it!
Of course, the narration by Melanie Fraser is spot on. She really is a very talented Voice Actress and it is always a pleasure to listen to her works.

The more I read/listen to this series, the more I am enjoying it.
In this particular story we have a very jaded young man, Christian Knight, whose wife had some relationships with other men and at the writing of this story he is a widower. He is trying to bring up his 2 young children but every governess he hires leaves the house at a fast sprint. To add to the chaos in his life his household is very short staffed and many of the staff he employs fall ill with a mysterious illness.
Rose escapes the 'madhouse' nearby and arrives on his doorstep - the story takes off and unfolds in leaps and bounds with lots of twists and turns. It is very cleverly written, captured and held my interest throughout and I was extremely well entertained. It is a stand-alone but does have close ties to the first book and we meet the main characters from that story again.
I enjoyed the narration by Liisa Ivary in this audiobook and note that her work is improving with each book she does.
I am very happy to recommend this book/audiobook as a page turner that will entertain and keep you wanting more in is series.

This story reminded me of a saying, "what goes around comes around." In other words, if someone treats other people badly he or she will eventually be treated badly by someone else and on the other hand, if one does good works, eventually good will come of it.
Ii this book there are two stories that relate to one another. They are about a pair of twin brothers, one who appears to be very down to earth and hardworking and the other who seems to be someone who tends to get into trouble and at first it appear as if he doesn't face up to the things he has done. But as we well know, in life people can change....
Both stories have some touching moments in them as you read about how the twins meet ladies who they fall in love with and what happens leading up to that and afterwards.
Barbara Goss has the ability of drawing a reader in and making her stories into page-turners that entertain one beautifully.
Persephone Rose has an interesting voice and helps bring this audiobook to life. Good teamwork!

This is a romantic mystery historical novel that rolls off the pages and off the tongue of the narrator beautifully.
Oliver has very set ideas on love and lust and believes only in lust. Nicole on the other hand truly believes that love (and trust) is an essential part of any good relationship between a man and a woman. She also is very honest and isn't shy to voice her beliefs. So whose ideals will win out? Guess you will have to read/listen to this story to find out.
Be prepared for many twists and turns that will will keep you guessing about what is to happen next. You might also find yourself first routing for one of the characters and later for the other.
I loved everything about this story and hope you do too.
Note: Although this is a complete story, it continues with another adventure in book 2.
