Great reading for this winter that won’t end. Suspenseful until the end. I’m going to be recommending this book!

In the summer of 2006, Emma Price watched helplessly as her six-year-old son's red coat was fished out of the River Ouse. It was the tragic story of the year - a little boy, Aiden, wandered away from school during a terrible flood, fell into the river, and drowned. His body was never recovered. Ten years later Emma has finally rediscovered the joy in life...until Aiden returns.

Told in three distinct and uniquely compelling sections, Asymmetry explores the imbalances that spark and sustain many of our most dramatic human relations: inequities in age, power, talent, wealth, fame, geography, and justice. The first section, "Folly", tells the story of Alice, a young American editor, and her relationship with the famous and much older writer Ezra Blazer. A tender and exquisite account of an unexpected romance that takes place in New York during the early years of the Iraq War.

I think this may be the first review I wrote before I finished a book. I love the story premise and am very intrigued but I cannot follow the audio and it’s even linear. It jumps in time and place with such suddenness I get totally confused and lost. My guess is that the written book has line breaks or something to indicate this and it just doesn’t work in audio. Sadly, I’m going to have to return it.

And no one embodies this spirit more than Elena Richardson, whose guiding principle is playing by the rules. Enter Mia Warren - an enigmatic artist and single mother - who arrives in this idyllic bubble with her teenage daughter, Pearl, and rents a house from the Richardsons.

I read Ms Ng’s first book and liked it so much, I recommended it for book club. This book I rate higher and want to discuss it with my book club now. So much to this story - many issues and themes. I love each flawed character -(except the mother of the four children). I love Mia and Pearl and the secret Mia carries across the country. Please read this beautiful book. You will think about it for a long time. You will thank me.

I wanted a light, but enjoyable listen and I found it with this quirky book. It’s really not about the hare. It’s about the man who saves the hare and the many adventures he goes on with the hare. Fun story. If you liked “A Man Called Ove” - I think you may enjoy this.

When the boy dies suddenly, Quinn seeks forgiveness for his paternal shortcomings by completing the requirements for one of his son's unfinished Boy Scout badges. For seven Saturdays Quinn does yard work for Ona Vitkus, the spry 104-year-old Lithuanian immigrant the boy had visited weekly.

Superheroes have always been Leia Birch Briggs' weakness. One tequila-soaked night at a comics convention, the usually level-headed graphic novelist is swept off her barstool by a handsome and anonymous Batman. It turns out the caped crusader has left her with more than just a nice, fuzzy memory. She's having a baby boy - an unexpected but not unhappy development in the 38-year-old's life.

A twisted tale of murder in the world of big-stakes bass fishing tournaments. Raunchy, bizarre, politically incorrect and hysterically funny. Characters who are beyond weird. How can you not love this book. I needed a break from some heavy books. Grabbed this one as Hiaasen has never let me down. It was hard to keep everyone straight at times - but I didn't care. George Wilson narrates perfectly. Laugh out loud book!
