Have you ever set out to have a one night stand with a sexy stranger? No? I’m the only one? Just kidding, I would never. Ever. Not usually. But then I figured, why not? My entire life I’ve been good and it’s gotten me nowhere. No job. No apartment. No boyfriend. I’m owed a little fun, aren’t I?
This book brought me to new heights of swooning! Great narration, a sexy Brit, a sassy but super cute and naive lady love, coupled with witty banter was the perfect combo to make this love story a 5 star gem. I had it in my library for months before I listened, but don't sleep on this one friends, get this book today and sit back and enjoy. It's refreshing and delightful, a one-sit listen that you will thoroughly enjoy!
Life is good for Jesse "The Lord" Ward. Perfect, actually. He still has the charm, he's in great shape, and he still reduces his wife, Ava, to a pool of desire with a mere look. He's in full control, just how he likes it. But Jesse's perfect world falls apart when a terrible accident lands Ava in the hospital with a life-threatening head injury.
If there was a hall of fame for books, WITH THIS MAN deserves to be inducted!!! My undying love for all things British may bias me a bit but any combo of Jesse Ward and a story where Jesse's the main POV is a sure contender in my book. I wasn't sure where JEM could take Jesse and Ava that would be equally as interesting as the first three stories but I was pleasantly surprised to still be intrigued and literally hanging on every word and chapter of the story. In fact, this story made me want to go back and binge listen to the first books. I love that they are both older, wiser, and their kids made the story that much better. The devastation that befalls them was a game changer and for a while I was really angry that things were unfolding as they were. I needed the Lord of Manor to reclaim his throne or all bets would be off! With skillful writing and excellent narration, Jesse and Ava's boundless love story takes you on a journey of epic highs and lows that will make you laugh, cry and swoon many times over before it's done. I'm completely smitten with these characters and this series and I highly recommend it for all romance lovers. This man, this series, is everything.
Having allied themselves with the Band of Bastards, the Brotherhood is committed now more than ever to eradicating the Lessening Society. Recovering from their most recent battle against the last of the lessers, the Brotherhood comes to realize that the fight against their enemies is far from over. Throe, Xcor's former second in command, is using an ancient tome to summon a new army engineered by a force more dangerous and evil than the Omega.
Finally, finally, finally, Assail and Sola reunite!!!! I completely adore these two and couldn't wait for this book to be released. From several preceeding books I loved the fierceness of Sola and the dynamic between she and Assail was palpable to say the least. Seeing them finally get together gave me all the feels!
The beginning was slower but it ramped up toward the last couple hours. I laughed and cried a little, swooned, and did some fist pumping too. As usual, the narration was superb, I could listen to Jim Frangione for days and never have enough. In terms of the storyline it seems that a new threat has emerged, and I have not a clue how the BDB is going to handle it, which is perfect because that just means that this series will continue for many years to come. Truth be told, I gave 4 stars as opposed to my usual 5 for BDB books; this particular book is a little low on action and maybe lower on the hot sex end as well, in comparison to some of the other books but I still count it as one of my favorites and would highly recommend it! I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Ash: I still don't know how it happened. One minute, I was arguing with my arrogant competitor - our usual trash-talk over who deserves the larger commission. But somehow, I went from throwing down to kneeling down.... It can never happen again. I don't even like him. He's too slick. He's a manipulating, mansplaining party boy in preppy clothes. So why can't I get him out of my head? Sebastian: Ash is my missing my piece. She's the sweet cream to my gourmet espresso. And nothing gets me going faster than her contempt for me.
This story literally had me laughing out loud, literally. Brat delivers one of the best lines of the book during a dinner with Ash and her parents, I guffawed! Great narration, really brought the characters, Brat and Ash to life. These two, are a match made in storybook heaven, as are the authors. I hope there's more on the horizon from Bowen & Eby, they have a knack for writing smart sexy storylines with characters that you will adore. Definitely credit worthy and I highly recommend this book. Be sure to check out Man Hands before this one just for context.
Garrett Daniels has this whole life thing figured out. The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy - he's platinum. He has good friends, a great house on the lake, and the best damn sidekick a man could ask for: Snoopy, the albino beagle. Then...Callie Carpenter comes home.
Getting Schooled gets a resounding A+! What a cute romance, this book gave me all the feels! I loved everything about this story. Sometimes its nice to listen/read a book where there's not excessive drama, and instead you have a solid story that makes your heart full and makes you believe in love.
Garrett and Callie are two thirty-somethings that rekindle a love that never really died from their teenage years. With a cast of hilarious characters, Getting Schooled will keep you hanging on every word and falling head over heels in love. Bravo Emma Chase, job well done!

There are many rules a priest can't break. A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God. I've always been good at following rules. Until she came. Then I learned new rules.
Wow wow wow! I LOVED this story! Be warned this book is incredibly indecent in all of the best ways. The juxtaposition of love/lust/God blew my mind. Great writing, great narration, and a beautiful love story that makes you question everything.

I've never been afraid of the dark...but that doesn't mean I wanted to live in it. Maybe everyone wants what they can't have, but I should've thought it over before I unlocked the door to their forbidden world. Number One is mostly silent. He watches me very carefully. Number Two is mostly gentle. But it's the other side of him I like best. Number Three is mostly reserved. It was carnal, it was sensual, and it was erotic. That's it. That's all it was supposed to be. A trip into the dark. A peek into the forbidden. I just didn't expect to like them.
This story kinda blew my mind, but in the best possible way. Be warned, the sex scenes are more than hot and seriously forbidden in some people's opinions I'm sure, but I loved every wild sexy minute of this book. The characters made this book something other worldly for me, they are all so interesting, so I was hooked from chapter one. The narration was good as well, and truly brought the characters to life, but one who was Quin was just mediocre. Smith turned out to be my favorite and that shocked me because he was so incredibly crass--I love an underdog though, what can I say? Overall, this is a very intriguing start to what I hope will be an epic series.
The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they shared a couple of steamy nights together, but that was a lifetime ago. At 27 Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, his three siblings, and a dotty grandfather. He doesn't have time for the sorority girl who has shown up expecting to buy his harvest at half price.
I'm so glad this is a series because I'm totally hooked! I've enjoyed other Sarina Bowen books and took a chance on this one despite the fact that it's essentially about a farming family, but wow I was completely taken in by this story. This book hit all my buttons!
Let's talk about the main character Griff--ahem--can we say super hot sexy farmer Griff? The cover alone had me breaking out in a sweat but digging deeper into this man and his love for his family and Audrey was just the most incredible story to listen to. On top of that, I just loved his surliness and attitude, he is definitely a favorite in the alpha male category.
What I didn't love as much was the male narrator. He wasn't horrible but he wasn't great. All in all, this is a fantastic love story with characters that you will adore instantly and want to know more about.
Phoenix "Nix" Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his pops got them into was difficult. Until he meets Kadence. Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student's father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious, and dangerously sexy, and for some reason, Kadence can't seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won't give in without a fight. The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce.
I love a good MC series, and this one is my new favorite!! I signed up for the romance package through audible and so far it's SO worth it. This series is the first I've sampled through the package and I'm loving this new option for listening.
Talk about hot and sexy, this book definitely delivers! There's action, romance, comedy, and a sexy group of bad boy bikers that I can't wait to see fall head over heels in love. I'm new to River Savage books, but I'm an official fan now, and will be scheduling in a binge listen of the series post haste!

As the last unattached member of the Kelly clan, Joe is more than ready to risk life and limb on any mission he's assigned to, but when it comes to love, he'll keep his distance. He's content to watch his brothers become thoroughly domesticated. Zoe's had nothing but heartbreak in her life, and she's determined to start over with a completely new identity, thanks to her college friend Rusty Kelly. But it's the gorgeous smile and tender words of Joe Kelly that begin to weaken her resolve to never risk her heart again.
I'm baffled and disappointed. This series started off so well, and seems to have just gone in a very redundant, one dimensional direction. There are some hits amongst the misses, but overall, the narration has worsened over time, the character profiles all seem to be duplicates and have no type of range or depth. About half of this book was a recap of the previous stories in major detail with each character reciting the same message over and over again with the exact same phrasing that was used in whatever story is being recapped! Unreal. And yet I keep coming back for more, partly because Maya Banks is a good author all things considered. I will always give her and this series a chance, but it's not my favorite series and I wouldn't recommend spending a credit on this book in particular.
