At 34, I'm reeling from a divorce. I don't want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn's Dips and Balls. But my friends aren't having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I'm still taking a hard pass. Free designer cocktails, they say. And that's a game-changer. Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That's when I lose my mind.

So, there are a lot of excellent romantic comedy-type romances right now, and that is awesome. In times like these, it's easy to miss some wonderful gems. Don't let this be one of them. Sure, it'll be good in five years when you come across it again, but seriously--why wait? THIS is a little different than the others -in the best ways. I did not know that Tanya Eby (an excellent narrator who is one of my faves) also was writing, and this is my first (but definitely not last) listen to a book with Sarina Bowen's name in the byline as well. I can't speak to how their writing is separately, but together, this is a magical writing team. This felt like the most FUN book I've listened to in a while. It was real in the way the interactions between the characters went, but totally "suspend belief for the sake of the full comedic effect in the story" in other parts that gave it a bit of a slapstick feel but not to the point of eyerolling, just to the point of perfect hilarity. The visuals you will compose in your head will crack you up. As others have said, the penis POV was just epic.

Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon were a perfect duo for this wild and crazy but also sweet and sentimental ride. Hold on! It's definitely a good one!

I'm dying. It's not a question; it's a fact. The cancer is eating me alive. They told me I have six months to live, maybe less. I came home, back to Chancellor on Lake Erie, to die. The sunsets are vivid there, and I will relish every one. I've never seen anything more beautiful than a Lake Erie sunset, until I see her.

This is the first of 3 short stories that take place in a magical little town. I had gotten books 2 and then 3 a couple of years ago, and they can be stand-alones, but I'm now going to re-listen in order because I had forgotten just how fun they are. On the plus side, there now is a box set of the 3 stories for one credit which makes them more affordable than before. I usually am a full-length novel kind of listener, but sometimes, you just know you're only going to have a bit of time or want something light after an angsty listen, and these are perfect for those times.

I'm a "late" reviewer, and you have plenty of others to give you the story outline, so I won't be redundant. These are all sweet, fairie tale-ish romances with the right amount of conflict and HEA for a long commute or a household chore that you want to escape from while still taking care of business. Well-written and perfectly narrated. Love them!

I deeply appreciate every one of the 1000 followers who will get an email of this review. I hope you all read this and help do something about it. Injustice is found in many places, and most of the time, there isn't much to be done about it, but I'd love to see this one little thing change.

The narrator of this audiobook version of this title in the Public Domain donated her time and talent to the production of it. She and dozens of other wonderful people have done this through Librivox, a fantastic organization that provides audiobook versions of PD works ABSOLUTELY FREE TO THE PUBLIC!!!!!!! This is a lovely service that allows everyone with a computer or device to have FREE access to thousands of classics in the PD, like Dickens, Austen, Twain, etc.

"Paperless," is NOT the rightful publisher of these works. Its agents have downloaded this and many other titles from Librivox, slapped book covers on them and defrauded Audible into believing that they somehow have a right to sell these FREE books for profit. To be clear, they have every right in the world to hire a narrator or narrate them on their own and THEN profit from them. However, this is not the case. The written TEXT may be in the PD, but the artists put their spin on these works and then donated THEIR versions to Librivox. THEY did the work, and THEY donated that product.

"Paperless" has simply downloaded these versions that were recorded by artists who actually DID produce them, and then "Paperless" put price tags on them and sold them. Neither the narrators who produced the titles nor Librivox (who provides them for FREE to the world at large) get one dime from these sales. (I have confirmed this.) "Paperless" gets paid for taking FREE offerings from a group of people who have gone out of their way to make the world a better place out of sheer kindness.

It IS legal to publish titles in the PD, though I would argue that is only true of the written works, not of these versions which have been enriched with voice talent and interpreted and produced by these artists. I'm not a lawyer, but legal or not, what Paperless is doing is absolutely wrong and needs to stop.

I used a credit to "buy" this book, write this review to spread the word in hopes it will stop this abuse. I will return this book and get my credit back, ensuring this publisher does not profit from other people's generosity. I'm not saying you should do this too, but I'm also not NOT saying it.

Cherry's back, and she's on the case. If Nancy Drew grew up, got turned into a vamp after a failed attempt at a porn career, went through some serious adventures and major changes and came out of all that with her desire to solve mysteries and help others intact, she still wouldn't be able to land a man as awesome as Constantine, Cherry's super hot and sexy love, or Alex, her super hot and sexy...... it's complicated.

This was a lot of fun, and it was great to catch up with Cherry and her friends. She is one lucky girl. The heat factor is scorching! Mystery, drama, love, lust, pain, loss, humor and surprises are all told through the talented performance of Hollie Jackson who handles this eclectic group of characters flawlessly. She really captures the feel of these characters and this world. I definitely enjoyed the escape into Cherry's world and cant wait for the next case!

Mmmmmm.......Aveoth. I found him intriguing from the moment he arrived on the scene. He's dark, mysterious, gorgeous, dangerous and has a soft side he must hide from his own people. His compassion in the previous books had me hoping he would find his mate. Jill is SO that woman. She is one of the coolest heroines ever. She doesn't really have one bad quality or annoying baggage item that needs to be cleared up before she can move on or any of the usual heroine stuff that creates angst (not that there's anything wrong with that when done in moderation). She's just made for him. So far, this is my favorite in the series, but we'll see what Creed brings to the table before I settle on that.

(If you are on the fence about this series: I held Drantos in my wish list for about six months because of reviews that were less than stellar. As someone who has written a few reviews when having a bad day, I know that occasional unfair reviewing happens.....I owe a few apologies. I am SO GLAD I decided to ignore the early "meh" reviews and started this series. I think the popularity of the New Species series may have unfairly hurt this one a bit in the beginning, but if you loved New Species, I really think you will love this one too. While the worlds are different, they are equally awesome, in that the men are loyal, protective and off-the-charts hot. THIS book and the next one -which I'm starting as soon as I hit enter on this review- were highly-anticipated pre-orders if that clues you in to the awesomeness of this series.)

Savannah Richards is wonderful, as usual. That fence I was on for 6 months? She was the wind that finally tipped me over it. Her performance is always awesome, and you are always guaranteed a great listen whenever her name follows "Narrated by: "

"And I'm gonna get the hell away from you as fast as I can." She's so cute when she's defiant. "As soon as I get my memory back and figure out who I am." Yeah. This series is so refreshingly different and cool. The alphas are the bad guys, or are they?
Prodigy is not as dead as the alphas thought, victory is not a foregone conclusion, and the enemy of your enemy can be more than just your friend. The Sullivan-Sadie-Thomas relationship is interesting and a tad kinky-love it!

JA Huss has such an amazing imagination and the ability to not only tell a story but make you feel it. I have been auto-downloading everything with her name on it, and so far, I am just blown away more and more with each story. The awesome news is that JA Huss likes to revisit some of her characters and cross series with cameos. I really hope to get a glimpse into the futures of these "supervillans" somewhere down the line.

On top of all that, the narrators did a fantastic job. I just can't recommend this series enough!!

I got this as a $1.99 Whispersynch deal several years ago, REALLY liked it and wanted more. Sadly, there was no more audio to be had, and I eventually forgot about it....mostly. Then, in 2016, I got 3,2,1 and LOVED it. So, I went looking for more books by this awesome author and found Rock (also loved). Spring of 2017, I found the Mister Series. And lo and behold, it turns out the Rook and Ronin series (book 1 of which had never fully left me) was finally completed in audio. It was like Christmas, the sequel. Roughly 6 months later, and I have now devoured 21 JA Huss titles on Audible, currently have 2 books on pre-order and am not-so-patiently awaiting the completed productions of Five and Mr and Mrs which I have on good authority are to be released in early 2018. In short, I am hopelessly addicted.

So, Rook and Ronin start right here. Their story is a trilogy, but Spencer and Ford's stories are what I would consider part of/continuation of this series (though many of her books have characters in common). In any case, you cannot go wrong with this plan: Tragic, Manic, Panic, Ford:Slack/Taut and Spencer.

I usually won't spend a credit on less than 8 hours, however -- TOTALLY worth it.

I am digging this cyborg series. Lisa Lace has a way of pulling me into stories I would normally not think are "my thing." I would not generally consider myself very much into sci-fi beyond a remembered penchant for Start Trek TNG, but both the TerraMates and Burning Metal series are definitely fun escapes for me. Maybe it's the amount of story she can pack into what I consider a shorter listen, avoiding chapter upon chapter of unnecessarily descriptive imagery, while still giving you a good escape.

Thunder and Melissa are a somewhat unlikely match, and theirs is a super fast and intense "courtship," but it was a great ride. I gave the story 4 stars just because I liked the previous 2 a bit more than this one. Overall, you can't go wrong with this series.

I can't tear my eyes away from her. A short silk kimono skims her thighs. The delicate robe falls open. She's teasing me. Lace panties and a push-up bra lifts her breasts like an offering. This Auxem novel has a good deal of interaction with the couples from the previous books, which was nice. Avren is a very likable character who's trying to solve the problem of the pain side effect to having wings, and the best partner in this endeavor is the woman who broke his heart years ago. There's a bit of awkwardness, tenderness, friendship, fear, suspense and adventure. The bad guy was a little bit weaker than in previous books, in that I thought he needed to be a bit more fleshed out to seem like a real threat, but the overall story did not suffer from it. The heroine was a bit wishy-washy and afraid of commitment, but she redeemed herself and became worthy of Avren in the end. I loved the epilogue!

The narrators were a good fit and complemented each other well. I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.
