When the Buddha set in motion the wheel of Dharma, he knew that the teaching he gave was inexhaustible - that every future generation would find its own skillful ways to convey it to the hearts and minds of those ready to hear. The Buddha Is Still Teaching is testimony to the fulfillment of that promise today. The selections it contains, from today's most highly regarded contemporary Buddhist teachers, bring the Dharma eloquently to life for us in our own time, place, and culture.
It's a bunch of quotes put together nicely, although...the mentioning of the names of the authors gets a bit tedious. Still I've managed to listen a couple of times👍
In troubled times there is an urgency to understand ourselves and our world. We have so many questions, and they tug at us night and day, consciously and unconsciously. In this important volume, Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh - one of the most revered spiritual leaders in the world today - reveals an art of living in mindfulness that helps us answer life's deepest questions and experience the happiness and freedom we desire.
This was one of the books I enjoyed the most listening to since I got audible.
Mindfulness Meditation is about learning to experience life fully as it unfolds - moment by moment. One popular misconception about meditation is that it is a way to make your mind blank so you can escape from what you are feeling. However, author Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn wants you to understand that meditation is an invitation to wake up, experience the fullness of your life, and transform your relationship with your problems, your fears, and any pain and stress in your life.
Actually I 've done his meditations on you tube, which I liked very much... But this book was very disappointing... I didn't even finish listening to it...
Presented in the form of 365 inspirational daily reflections, Gates helps listeners - from experienced yogis to novices seeking a little tranquility - to fundamentally reconsider their relationships with their minds, their bodies, and the universe around them through self-reflection.

The accent of the narrator was hard to listen to and tedious .. This is not a book for audible! It would be better to read it...

His groundbreaking book reaches past expected dogma in a language that is vital, inspired, and accessible. Heard it twice, it grows on you... Max's voice us so soothing. It 's a great read for anyone that's interested in yoga and mindfulness... This book was my favorite of all the books I got on Audible! I also use it as a guide to Mindfulness as it has so many exercises and' how to' techniques ...
As more and more people in the West pursue yoga in its various forms, whether at traditional centers, in the high-powered atmosphere of sports clubs, or on their own, they begin to realize that far from being just another exercise routine, yoga is a discipline of the body and the mind. The 365 meditations included in this book offer a way to integrate the mindfulness that yoga teaches into everyday life.
I loved this book, I heard it many times, just before bed... The voice so soothing and relaxing... Listening made me understand some of the things you don't get in yoga class. Made me feel like practicing all the time... I think people that practice will totally connect to this book and what it has to offer.
