I read the paper back of this book 14 years ago and it was most refreshing to listen to it. Great book!
In the glitteringly ruthless diamond business, Scarlett Drummond Murray is a force to be reckoned with. As stunningly beautiful as the diamonds she works with, Scarlett is determined to make her mark on the industry with her fabulous jewellery creations. But to do so she must battle through a world that is steeped in greed and corruption.
The story is interesting. Narator was also moderately okay. Overall performance was okay. Would look out for another Tilly Bagshawe book.
Jamie McGregor founded a family empire on diamonds stolen from South Africa - and a ruthless need for revenge. As control of McGregor's fortune falls into the capable hands of his granddaughter Kate, his business expands into a worldwide conglomerate. The cunning Kate proves herself a true master, using her own son and granddaughters as pawns in a game where the stakes are bigger than life or death.
ThIs was the first real novel I read in paperback. It was wonderful listening to it on audible 2 decades later.

In a family rife with secrets - murder, hidden identities, perversions - and a depraved sense of honor, the player who wins the game may be the only one who will survive. Full of the late master's trademark elements - remarkable characters, dazzling plotting, and a page-turning narrative style - this sizzling sequel vividly captures the master's voice and irresistible magic.
Good story. I liked the story and the suspense. The narator was okay but not great.
