Everywhere Katie Brenner looks, someone else is living the life she longs for, particularly her boss, Demeter Farlowe. Demeter is brilliant and creative, lives with her perfect family in a posh townhouse, and wears the coolest clothes. Katie's life, meanwhile, is a daily struggle - from her dismal rental to her oddball flatmates to the tense office politics she's trying to negotiate. No wonder Katie takes refuge in not-quite-true Instagram posts, especially as she's desperate to make her dad proud.
Such a great story line. I love the characters and wanted their stories to continue! I want to open my own glamping grounds now! A must-read if you love Sophie Kinsella.
More than a year ago, Natalie Gordon went to buy a balloon at the Thanksgiving Day parade and dissolved into thin air. The police and a private investigator still have no leads. So when Natalie's despairing husband pleads with ex-nun Christine Bennett to help, she can't say no.
I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was a lighthearted mystery that kept me curious the entire time! The reader does a great job with the different character's voices, and it was an all around fun "read".
When Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community.
I LOVE Nicholas Sparks novels, but they can be somewhat predictable. This novel was the first to keep me wondering every second what would happen. You become attached to the characters he builds up, and he does a great job of setting up the climax of the novel by telling the story from 2 different perspectives. This was more mystery-romance than any others he has done so far and I loved it!

Nothing comes between Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) and her bargains. Neither act of God nor budget crunch can shatter her dreams of wall-to-wall Prada. Every milestone in her well-shopped life (travel, long-lost sister, marriage, pregnancy) inspires new vistas to explore in the name of retail therapy. But now she faces her greatest little challenge yet: Becky’s two-year-old daughter, Minnie.
I have been eagerly awaiting the next book in the Shopaholic series and I LOVED this one! Her daughter is a fantastic a mini Rebecca with all the shopaholic urges of her mom! I always love the lighthearted-witty plot of the shopaholic series and Sophie Kinsella did not let me down.
