In the small mountain town of Amorea, it's stretching toward autumn of 1954. The memories of a world at war are fading in the face of a prosperous future. Doors are left unlocked at night, and neighbors are always there to give each other a helping hand.
I laughed and I cried and I loved every single word that was written. Mr. Klune is a matter story teller. You have to listen to this book or you must read it. I can't stop thinking about this book and the beautiful ending?!? I'm not sure where to place the feelings I have for it either. But that it is simply a book you have to digest.
Years ago, I fell in love with my best friend's little brother. Then, he took his own life, leaving me shattered and unable to piece my heart back together. I've been a zombie for nine long years. Until a crazy, gorgeous man walked into Heathens Ink and injected color back into my world of gray. No matter how hard I try to resist Beck, he just won't give up on me. I would need steel willpower to withstand his gorgeous long legs in those high heels and his drawer full of lacy lingerie. But is this just a kinky hook up, or does it have the possibility for more?
I liked this book for the most part. I just didn't find it totally believable. Gage loses his very young love to suicide. It's nine years later and he still hasn't gotten over him. I could understand this is they had been older and together much longer but it just doesn't seem to fit. Nine years is a long time to not live when you're that young. Gage meets Beck and they form a great friendship. Beck is a saint for having the patience to put up with Gage! They finally find their HEA at the very last chapter.... it's about time!!!
When I was 16, I was afflicted with a terrible curse...I fell in love with my straight best friend. I never thought I'd move past my feelings for Nash and find someone who could love me in return - until the day a gorgeous marine plopped himself down in my chair and asked me to ink him. I'm falling fast for Zade, but my feelings for Nash are still very real. When life starts getting complicated and Nash speaks the words I never thought I'd hear, the only thing I want is for us to find a way to make this work...together.
I still think these books move way too fast. But I do love these guys and their story. There's so much to muddle through in a threesome dynamic. I feel like this was just glossed over. They never discussed how things would work when one partner wasn't there. I still enjoyed the story.
Twelve months after his change, Alec MacAidan is still getting used to his many vampire talents. While most vampires would give anything to have more than one supernatural power, Alec craves nothing more than peace and time alone with Cronin. But when Alec meets entities from outside this realm, he's left powerless in their presence. Zoan are half-lycan, half-dragon creatures that have slipped through time and reality, seemingly undetected by man and vampire. Or have they?
This series should be made into a movie. It is so good. The narration is great too. I've read and listened to this series...I love it that much. The love that Cronin and Alec have is something really special. Do not miss this series!!!
NYPD Detective Alec MacAidan has always been good with weird. After all, his life has been a string of the unexplainable. But when an injured man gives him cryptic clues, then turns to dust in front of him, Alec's view on weird is changed forever. Cronin, a vampire Elder, has spent the last 1,000 years waiting for Alec. He'd been told his fated one would be a man wielding a shield, but he didn't expect him to be human, and he certainly didn't expect that shield to be a police badge.
I read this series first and now I'm listening to it. It is so awesome I have no words! I love Alec and Cronin together. It is such a special relationship!!! All the characters are wonderful and very well written. Do not miss this series. Joel narrates it beautifully!!!
Self-proclaimed playboy, Aiden Vale, has it all - good looks, successful career, plenty of cash in the bank, and an endless supply of men who know the score...that one night is just that. So the last thing he wants, or needs, is to forge a connection that might mean revealing more of himself than he's ready to. But when fate intervenes, putting Aiden in the path of someone who threatens to knock down his carefully constructed walls, he's quick to realize the young man he's become infatuated with is hiding a painful secret.
I really love Ash and Aiden. But I did find the abuse hard to take by the last time. Ash has an abusive ex and it brought me to tears. But the rest of their love story is so beautiful that I hated it to end.
Chase Payne is a walking contradiction. He's the most powerful psychic in the Community, but the least respected. He's the son of the Community's founder, but with his tattoo sleeves and abrasive attitude, he's nothing like his charismatic family. No one knows what to make of him, which is how he wound up locked in a cell on the Farm yet again. But this time, the only man he's ever loved is there too. Elijah Estrella was used to being the sassy sidekick who fooled around with Chase for fun. But that was before he realized the Community wasn't the haven he'd believed in.
Great story with great characters. I love this narrator. His snarky voice is done so well for Chase. Do not miss this series!!!
Holden Payne has it all...or so he thinks. As heir to the founder of the Community - an organization that finds, protects, and manages psychics - he's rich, powerful, and treated like royalty. But after a series of disappearances and murders rock the Community, he's branded the fall guy for the scandal and saddled with a babysitter. Sixtus Rossi is a broad-shouldered, tattooed lumbersexual with a man bun and a steely gaze. He's also an invulnerable - supposedly impervious to both psychic abilities and Holden's charms.
The plot thickens and will continue in the next book. I can't wait to start that one. The narration is great as is the story line. It keeps you wanting for more!!! The characters become more developed with each book!
Officer Red Markham knows about the ugly side of life after a car accident left him scarred and his parents dead. His job policing the streets of Carlisle, PA, only adds to the ugliness, and lately, drug overdoses have been on the rise. One afternoon, Red is dispatched to the local Y for a drowning accident involving a child. Arriving on site, he finds the boy rescued by lifeguard Terry Baumgartner. Of course, Red isn't surprised when gorgeous Terry won't give him and his ugly mug the time of day.
I liked the premis of the story. But it just fell flat. One minute Terry is making fun of Red and then they are in bed together. It wasn't believable. The dialog was choppy and unnatural. The narrator didn't help this fact. When author says it's spoken quietly the narrator didn't speak it that way.
Twenty-seven-year-old Farrow Keene lives by his actions, and his actions say he's the best at whatever he does. As a 24/7 bodyguard and the new boyfriend to Maximoff Hale, protecting the headstrong, alpha billionaire has never been more complicated. And one rule can't be bent: Keep your relationship secret from the public. Farrow is confident he's the best man for the job. But a twist in Maximoff's fast-paced life sticks them with the rest of Security Force Omega and their clients. On the road. In a sleeper tour bus. For four rocky months.
I can't say enough good about this series and the ones before. I love that the Ritchie sisters ventured into the m/m world, and with a fantastic splash as Sully would say!!! Farrow and Moffy are so hot together. And I love their fierceness. The narrators are fantastic too. Don't miss this book!!!
