Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Hastings, has hatched a plan to keep himself free from the town's marriage-minded society mothers. He pretends to be engaged to the lovely Daphne Bridgerton. After all, it isn't as if the brooding rogue has any real plans to marry - though there is something about the alluring Miss Bridgerton that sets Simon's heart beating a bit faster. And as for Daphne, surely the clever debutante will attract some very worthy suitors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable.

If you could sum up The Duke and I in three words, what would they be?

Perfectly Joyful Story

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character has to be the entire Bridgerton family. I love how they are connected to one another and how funny they are.

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

I loved the books when I first read them but I almost think I like the audio better. Rosalyn's performance is spot on. She made everyone sound just like I thought they would.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Rollicking fun in London.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait to hear the rest of the books. If they are all this great I will have to listen over and over.

Alexa Reeves: The quarterback of the NY Kings has a body to die for, and as Dean Walker's bodyguard, I'm right in the line of fire. If that's not dangerous enough, I'm posing as his girlfriend to keep close. Yet, that isn't the worst part. He says I need a makeover to pass as his arm candy. Jerk. The more time I spend with him, the more my undercover role blurs with reality, and I'll lose more than my job if I step over the line and into his bed.

I enjoyed the story but the narrator didn't really work for me. She sounded like she spoke through gritted teeth. I do wish the author had wrapped up who was involved in the actual letter writing but other than that I really enjoyed the epilogue.

What did you love best about Reunion Pass?

I loved finally getting to see Laurie and Chase together but I hated what Chase had to go through to get there.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chase was my favorite. We have seen he and Laurie grow but Chase has matured so much over the years.

Which scene was your favorite?

Has to be either when she dropped off the dog and drove off with Chase holding him and telling her he couldn't keep him or Chase teaching the tadpoles.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I both laughed and cried. No way around it with what Chase went through.

Any additional comments?

I have loved this author for a long time but just started listening to the series as well. The narrator does a pretty good job with the different accents.
