If God can take David - the invisible eighth son of a forgotten family - and turn him into a king, just imagine what magnificent plans he has for redeeming your life. David was born a number eight - a hidden gem, often overlooked and undervalued by everyone except for God. For David, being a number eight seemed like a curse until the day God transformed him from the unknown eighth son of Jesse into the much-honored king of Israel.

This is a book from the heart that is shared by the author himself. He kept me interested by continually sharing bits of his story. At the same time he is sharing King David's story and how his life as a number 8 can relate to many of us today. All in all this is a very inspiring book and I would recommend it to those who may see themselves as having little value in this life, because as you listen you'll find out that is far from true.

Loved it. There are ideas in here even for me as a Supervisor. I am realizing that I have fallen so much into the employee role. I need to rekindle the fire in me to be passionate with my team.

This has given me a few areas to work on. Once I was very passionate about this place of employment. I realize that if I can not get there again that it would be a disservice to my team and the company. So I am setting a goal of 2 months if I can't get there again I'm moving on to allow someone else with the drive to step in.

This is very informative, but at times can be on the little dull side. The most intriguing thing to me is how our economy was over 60 years ago and 30 years ago. Our economy continues to go deeper in debt for the very reasons this author raises alarms. Yet, it seems we are doomed to continue to deeper in debt trying to fix our economy.

That is just a portion of this book and yet it would be nice to see more of our young adults become interested in at least the basics of how the economy works. Then maybe we the people can do what is necessary to turn things around.

I would recommend this to anyone who desire a better life and yet may feel there is no hope of doing so.

More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

Would you listen to Killing Kennedy again? Why?

I rarely ever read / listen to a book more than once, but for some reason this fascinates me. In my parents minds Kennedy was somewhat of a hero, a good man, a good president. Seems like there were only a few parts of president Kennedy that stick out in my mind before this book. Now I have a better glimpse of the man and my mind wants to review it all again.

Have you listened to any of Bill O'Reilly’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever. They are both very good. My mind tends to favor the Lincoln book a bit more, because I have always had a fascination about him over any other president after Lincoln.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoy Bill O'Reilly's books, talk show, etc... You should read / listen to this as well as his other books, because he does a VERY good job at drawing a person in / making the story line memorable.

Would you listen to The Oath again? Why?

As good of a book this was I doubt I would read it again. I am the type of person who RARELY ever reads a book more than once, watches a movie more than once, or listen to a book more than once.

What did you like best about this story?

How the story portrayed sin and how to defeat it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to, yet life seems to get in the way :)

Any additional comments?

If you like fictional christian based books than this is a must read.
