The book was good starts out great grabs you from the first minute on. My only complaint is the book leaves alot balls up in the air and I find myself asking what is happening? But overall good book give it a try if your on the fence and if when you figure things out better than I did let me know.

The book just goes inside his thoughts so much. The twist and turns were good but so much inner monolog can be a little to much.

Not ever books needs a ending sometimes it just better to leave you scared and wondering what that noise was late at night in the closet or what was that blur out of the corner of your eye. If you want a little scare give the book a try.

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of The Beast Awakens by Joseph Delaney, read by Lee Ingleby. They heard shouting and cries of fear. Crafty looked down the slope and realised what had happened to cause so much panic. Without warning, the dark wall of the Shole had advanced. Crafty can't remember a time before the Shole - the terrifying mist that has engulfed most of Britain, leaving those trapped in it to either die or be transformed into horrifying monsters: the aberrations.

Book one of the Spook s Apprentice grabbed me from the very beginning this book just did not grab me right away. Would I try book two hmmm not sure.

I enjoy theses books and the reader is perfect for this creepy books. My only complaint is the sound effects. I think I would cut em out the next books.
