He told me to go away. I did. I followed his instructions. I left with the new family. They were from the right side of the tracks, and I tried to become one of them. I really did, but I failed. When someone died, someone that I loved, I couldn’t keep pretending everything was fine. It wasn’t. This privileged world he gave me wasn’t privileged. There were problems. He just never told me that he created them, that he had sent me into a world he set up for me. It was all a lie, but it was lie that I was going to expose. Or I would die trying.

Jake McKallister might have been a rock star, but he was no ordinary one. Surviving an unspeakable crime as a young teen had shaped him into a guarded workaholic, and he now lived his life trying to forget. If it hadn't been for music and the redemption he found through it, he might not have survived. Career success came easily for him. Personal connections did not.

This book is great, the sexy scenes don't take over the book like others do. I am waiting for the next book to some out January 9th 2017, I just hope it comes to Audible that same day. I will definitely watch for anything from this authors. The narration was wonderful.

I really enjoyed the book but got extremely frustrated with Art being injured and they were still having sex all the time even though it endangered his life/mental faculties. I would think a man so smart and a woman who loved said man so much one would look out for Arts life.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend they read the book, if they have listened to ANY of the other books they will be disappointed.

Any additional comments?

I have no idea why the author or publisher or whom every makes those decisions change the narrators, IF you have never listened to the previous books this is a great book and you will love it. IF you have listened to the other books you will be extremely disappointing, the narrators are great and I love them in other narrations but they just cannot do the past narrators justice. What a disappointment, I couldn't really even tell you if the book is good or not because the narrators bothered me SO SO much.

I absolutely LOVE this book, it has happiness, sadness, yummy sex scenes, twists and turns, I found myself pausing or fast forwarding to know what happened then going back and listening to what I missed. It made me angry and happy, I felt my blood pressure rising and I got to the point I told my entire family to leave me alone because I didn't want any interruptions. I will listen to the is book over and over again it is a must have!

You're not supposed to want the one who torments you. When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn't prepared for how much of a jerk he'd be. I hated that he took it out on me because he didn't want to be here. I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room. But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the book, it made me laugh, cry, had great sex scenes and defiantly had a twist you didn't see coming. The only part I did not enjoy is towards the end almost the entire book is re-visited from Elec's POV (there is a reason but I won't give it away), I wish this POV would have not been so redundant and maybe given more of Elec opposed to basically a quick do-over, I am not sure how long it lasted but I do remember fast forwarding through it because it was so long.

All in all defiantly worth a credit or like me bought the kindle and the audio version at the same time to Amazon for a bit less.
