Every plot change was due to devastation. The book is predictable and depressing, but I did want to listen to the entire story. At least we are provided a happy ending.

I thought the narrator was impressive. At times he sounded like Reagan himself. I was in my teens when I first cast my vote for Ronald Reagan. His belief in what America could be was why so many stood behind him. The history of his personnel life troubled me. Nancy and Ronald's life is proof that a good and faithful wife can make the man. Her courage and love for her spouse is admirable.

Audie Award, Audiobook of the Year, 2016. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. "Jess and Jason," she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost. And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good? Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.

More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

In February 2013 I gave a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast. Standing a few feet from President Obama, I warned my fellow citizens of the dangers facing our country and called for a return to the principles that made America great. Many Americans heard and responded, but our nation’s decline has continued. Today the danger is greater than ever before, and I have never shared a more urgent message than I do now.

What would have made Piercing the Darkness better?

More focused plot. This story was all over the place and difficult to follow.

What was most disappointing about Frank Peretti???s story?

I could not finish this story. I attempted to listen to this book on 2 different occasions and failed to engage any interest.

Would you be willing to try another one of Kevin Foley???s performances?

No

Any additional comments?
