How much would you gamble for love? Rufus Lovell has been thrust unexpectedly into riches and gained a new set of friends who delight in wagers and bets, with nothing too small or too big to gamble on - even marriage.
The wager was stupid but Rufus fell for Juliana. Their story is well written and the readers reading was heartfelt.
Following in my father’s footsteps meant The Game. I found my way to the Professionals. Running through cash and women at a breakneck speed, I never wanted a relationship. Then, the hot daredevil strolled into my life. Tasha’s a stunt woman with legs for days. Her edge drives me wild. Her passion awakens the beast inside me. She’s the one. Mine to own. Mine to claim. I will do anything in my power to keep her. But can I convince her before she walks away for good?
I enjoyed this story very much. The story held a lot for me, because photography is a passion of mine. I loved Tasha and Stryder. I can imagine all the evil thins that she did to him. Best first date ever!
Lady Catheryn, an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman, is taken against her will to Normandy after the invasion. She arrives, a prisoner, at the castle of Lord Geffrei, a ruthless invader who hopes to gain a ransom for her. Her husband Selwyn is dead, slain in the Conquest, and her daughter Annis has been left behind in England at the mercy of the invaders. Catheryn is treated like an animal, and left in a cell, until she begins to despair.
I really liked this story, but I wouldn’t call it a romance but more of a saga written around William the Conqueror. The story is well written but their are some deep disappointing moments, probably more than I cared for. I think William is captured wonderfully and Katherine is s woman caught in a war torn land with a dead husband. This story will captivate you and send you reeling back to the 11th century.
Santa, you’ve gotta be kidding me. One hot Xmas encounter in Jamaica has haunted me for an entire year. But just when I was about to give up the search, guess who I see sitting at my secretary’s desk? Forget about beaches and bikini, even in her boring suit, Hanna has me hooked. But she’s so stubborn and proper, refusing me in every turn yet always teasing me with a glimmer of desire in her eyes. Oh girl, you have no idea how much I enjoy a challenging conquest.
This story is tense and the heroine is the one always teetering on the edge with James. Hanna was always jumping to conclusions. The story is well written and the performance of the reading staid true to the characters. The word used at the end of this book however for their love is definitely not it. The story is good and will hold your attention from beginning to end.
Life was simple...until an intriguing proposition came my way. When the IT tycoon made me that offer, I thought it was a good deal...until it wasn’t. A perfect balance of beauty and intelligence, but the fire inside her refused to be tamed.
I enjoyed the story and it was well written. I felt the character Cassie was a coward when it came to Ivan and almost ruined a great relationship. If it wasn’t for Ivan’s love for Cassie this relationship would never have come to fruition. The reader did an excellent job of keeping the character of each person separate and when that character spoke you knew who was speaking before the he or she said. This was a fun audiobook and I throughly enjoyed the story. The problem with this book in audio is some of the scenes are not meant to be over heard with out some embarrassment.
Lord Marcus Bowles has stained his family's reputation for the last time. Only after spending a scandal-free year restoring some far-flung property can this second son return in good graces. But Marcus isn't one to abandon a lone damsel on a dark country lane.... One stolen kiss and Genevieve Turner's handsome midnight savior disappears. Typical. No matter, Gen is finally on the way to her new post - and, hopefully, to finding her grandmother as well.
I was captivated by the performance and reading of the book. The emotion and depth of each character is well written and felt in the reading of the speaker. This book will hold you captive.

Marissa, a theater musician, desired an escape from her impoverished existence in 17th century France. After watching Marissa perform, King Louis XIV snatched her from the stage only to cast her in his royal court. Marissa plots a betrothal to a marquis to cement her place among nobility. Her plans are interrupted by Michael, a noble and gallant musketeer. When Michael meets Marissa, his service to the crown is challenged by a passion that overshadows duty.
I really loved this story. I loved how she wrote this fictional story right into the accurate history of King Louis reign and His Musketeers. We even meet Dartanan, and encounter Louis twin Phillip. The strong desire between the main characters is expressed in the narrators voice.
The wealthy Duke of Weybridge knows that everyone loves a good surprise...and a good scandal. He has bounteous amounts of both for the guests at his extravagant birthday ball - particularly for his nieces and nephew, Emily, Isabel, and Lucien. They think his promise to improve their lives means a generous stipend. But he’s got a different gift in mind: finding them perfect matches. His task won’t be easy, because the Arden siblings have given up on love.
All I can say is watch out for the Earl of Chestwick and The Duke, Uncle Josiah.
