It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

What disappointed you about You Have to F--king Eat?

I enjoyed Mansbach's first book. Despite the language "sleep" had great narration and made me chuckle at it's "inside my head" accuracy. This volume just didn't connect with me or my parenting experience.

Would you be willing to try another one of Bryan Cranston’s performances?

The man who invented shock rock tells the amazing and, yeah, shocking story of how he slayed his thirsty demons with a golf club. It started one day when Cooper was watching a Star Trek rerun between concerts, bored and drunk on a quart-of-whiskey-a-day habit. A friend dragged the rocker out of his room and suggested a round of golf. Cooper has been a self-confessed golf addict ever since.

What does Alice Cooper bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoy listening to people's life stories as they tell them. This was no exception. I smiled and laughed more because I could hear his passion and his recollection come through the narration.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Later in the book when Alice talks about his Christian walk, it was incredible. He's got so many diverse aspects of his personality and it moved me quite deeply to know that he and I share a faith. It explains why throughout my own walk I haven't felt the need to disregard his music and still find myself attending his concerts. Alice is a good man, a good husband, and a good father and I love that he made a huge positive out of his previously negative choices!

Blue Collar Comedy star Bill Engvall is just a guy. He's been one his whole life. He can't help it; he was born that way. And that makes him an expert on the subject. For the record, here's the official definition of a guy: a person who doesn't think before he speaks. He can't. He's not that deep. Because a guy has only three basic needs: eating, sleeping, and sex. That's it. Just a Guy chronicles a lifetime in pursuit of those needs.

What could Karyl McBride have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This book was recommended to me by an industry professional. I'm not much for self help books, but I gave it a read. For me it focused too much on the negatives. I found myslef coming into a greement with those negative thoughts and feeling more sorry for myself than empowered. Some of the intorspective exercises were more positive, but overall...I had better results with prayer.
