It's hard being the most popular girl on the ice planet. The alien men are falling all over themselves to impress me in the hopes that I'll take them to my furs. But they don't know my secrets - none of them do. And they don't realize that behind my smile, I just wish they'd go away. I don't want any of them. I want someone else - someone with a gorgeous blue body, big horns, and the most intense gaze ever. He's the only one that knows the truth. Maybe with him, I can work through my fears of the past...but I'm pretty sure he wants more than just friendship.
I always enjoy these stories by Ruby Dixon in the Ice Planet series and this was another great listen. Tiffany and Saluk’s love story was sweet and I liked how they found their resonance together. Can’t wait for Josie and Hayden’s audiobook! Narration was good.
Wiping out humanity is his number one objective - until he meets her. Aramus has no patience or sympathy for the excuses humanity uses to hunt cyborgs down and eradicate them. He's put up with too much at their hands to ever forgive and forget. But all that changes when he rescues a fragile human doctor who refuses to see him as a machine. She teaches him that perhaps not all emotions are a weakness and that love can make even a cynical cyborg like him stronger. And for those who'd mock his change of view or threaten his female? Go ahead. His knuckles could use some exercise.
I’ve enjoyed Eve Langlais Cyborg series very much and was entertained by this audiobook story of Aramus. The character of Aramus is human hating grump, who would rather be in a fight than settle down. When he meets the heroine during a mission, he’s fighting his attraction with everything he is. Riley is an anthropologist who is tricked by The Company and ends up on a secret base doing autopsies Of military experiments gone wrong. Can she and Aramus find a way to meet in the middle and have a relationship? Narration was well done.
I may be an Alaskan fisherman, but I didn't expect my catch of the day to be Alice. When I pull her from the water and see her wet clothes clinging to all the right places, I want to strip her of them and make her mine. By the time she's below deck, naked in my bed - I learn that she's more than a virgin. She's the woman of my f--king dreams. But I haven't told her everything about me. My secrets will push her away.
This audiobook story was one of an accidental meeting that resulted in instant love. The cultured cellist and the wealthy mountain man from Alaska hit all the right spots for romance. The only thing I didn’t like about the audiobook was the narration! It really needed a male voice.
Jo Strauss is committed to two things in her life - her family and her life as an acrobat/high-wire performer; she takes both very seriously. Her life is orderly, in control, and she is finally settling down in one place so she can spend more time with her parents instead of moving all over the world every few weeks. To celebrate her and her younger sister Star's one year anniversary away from the circus they have grown up with, they meet River Knight, their childhood friend and sister of the heart, for a vacation in the mountains of North Carolina.
This audiobook was probably my least favorite in the series, but it was still a good listen! The characters of Jo and Minota are well matched and when you add in the circus performers returning with them from Earth, there are funny moments. The narration was well performed.
Jewel is a tomboy who was eventually discharged from the military because she struggled to get along with others and couldn’t adjust to the military's restricted lifestyle. After a scandal that disrupted the social order back home, Kay is banished to a zoological research vessel, where he acts as curator. He struggles to prove himself, trying to earn his place in the order again so that he can end his exile and return to his normal life. But when it turns out that Jewel was abducted from home and placed in an alien zoo, with Kay as the only other being around, she questions his intentions.
I just couldn’t find a lot to,be excited about with this audiobook. The narrators voice irritated me for some reason, I think because it was so cheerful, even when the heroine was in dire straits. The story sort of shambled along without much interest in the plot. Sorry, but this one was a dud for me.
Bayla's destiny had been set from the beginning. Her body would be used for sex and breeding. Nothing changed when the sexy Zandian doctor purchased her from the baby farm and brought her to his examination room. Daneth has always lived in his head, letting science govern his thoughts and choices. Having Bayla in his lab shouldn't change that, but somehow the submissive human female gets under his skin. No matter how harshly he punishes her, she responds to his touch with passion, sparking a lust that threatens to distract him from his plans.
This series is a very entertaining one to listen to. This story about the Zandian Doctor Zanteth and the human woman he bought for his experiments in breeding a pure Zandian from artificial insemination. The heroine has been a slave in a human breeding facility on Ocretia, and has already had two babes that. She delivered and then were taken from her. She falls in love with the doctor, but cat bear to have another baby that is taken from her arms. The narration is very well done.

River Knight was looking forward to a peaceful vacation in the mountains with her two best friends, Jo and Star, sisters of the heart. When she travels up into the mountains of North Carolina to the cabin Star has rented for them, she is shocked when she finds the two sisters being abducted. Following them, she discovers their abductors are anything but human. Sneaking aboard the shuttle in an attempt to rescue them, she finds herself on an unplanned vacation to the stars.
This was a very entertaining audiobook to listen to. I enjoyed the story of River and her two best friends who are kidnapped by some brutal lizard like aliens. As circus performers, the three girls are skilled in things like acrobatics, archery and knife throwing. As River wanders the air shafts of the kidnappers vessel, she sees a group of alien men who are about to be tortured by the cruel lizard men. She and her two friends, Starr and Jo rescue them and find themselves claimed as mates. They are taken to the men’s home world, and that’s when things get exciting! Narration is well done.
Carmen Walker has spent the last three years of her life focusing on avenging the murder of her husband. Following leads to the man responsible, she finally has a chance to bring closure to the overwhelming pain and grief that is slowly eating away at her. Catching a ride on a business jet copiloted by her sister, Carmen heads to California to meet with her informant. But plans suddenly change when a woman on the plane is kidnapped, and Carmen is mortally wounded. She wakes to find herself aboard an alien warship heading to a distant world.
I enjoyed this audiobook very much. I always felt sorry fo the character of Carmen, since she had gone through such horrible tragedy. It’s very hard to let go of the past and a vendetta. Cerón is the perfect one for her an this story was entertaining and I like how he heed her resolve everything back on Earth. Narration was very well done.
Ruwen NaNaran knows he's a goner. The curse of his alien species has put a countdown on his life, and he'll be dead before the month is out. Unless he finds his denya, the only woman in the universe who can save him.
I enjoyed this audiobook about a woman kidnapped from Earth and dumped on a hostile alien planet to fend for herself. While foraging for food in an empty building she meets an alien man ho is instantly struck by the knowledge she’s his fated mate. She’s not so sure and escapes him only to be saved by him from death. She agrees to leave the planet with him, after he finishes his mercenary mission to collect information. They spend time together and grow close and she finally realizes he is her fated mate, only to have him taken by some angry guys from the planet they left. Narration was well done.
At 28 Ariel Hamm is ready to start focusing on what she wants. After her fiancé unexpectedly ends their engagement, she seeks to redefine who she really is. A pilot for Boswell International, Ariel knows flying is not her first love. Unhappy, she finally makes a decision based on what she wants - to live on the property she purchased in Wyoming and care for the stray and neglected animals that have always captured her heart. Her plans change suddenly when she finds herself on a warship headed for a distant planet.
This fourth audiobook in this series just was funnier than the rest, in my opinion! Ariel’s tendency to gather small animals wherever she goes has been a trait of hers since childhood. Unfortunately, the ones she finds on the way to Valdier and after her arrival are seen by the dragons as tasty exotic snacks, which made for some laughable moments. I like the relationship that developed between her and Amanda, her fated mate. Narration was very well done.
