British vampire psychiatrist and former mercenary Cage Reynolds returns to Penton, Alabama, looking for a permanent home. The town has been ravaged by the ongoing vampire war and the shortage of untainted human blood, and now the vampires and humans that make up the Omega Force are trying to rebuild. Cage hopes to help the cause, put down roots in Penton, and resolve his relationship with Melissa Calvert. The last thing he expects is to find himself drawn to Robin Ashton, a trash-talking eagle shape-shifter and new Omega recruit.
Completely enjoyed the next audible in The Penton Legacy Series. The story continued on without any lapses. The female lead annoyed me at times, but overall good listen. This series makes me want to continue to find out the end result, who comes out winning and how it all takes place. Some interesting twists in this one also. Now just waiting for Book 5 to be available on audible Australia.
With the war against Napoleon winding down, the Marquess of Rotherstone decides it's time to restore his family's tainted reputation. But as a member of the Inferno Club, he knows there is only one way to redeem himself in society's eyes: marry an impeccable young lady of beauty and breeding, whose behavior is well beyond reproach.
Disappointed to realise (at end of this audible) this is part of a series which is not yet available on audible or amazon Australia! I have had this occur on other series and it starts to become quite annoying. As for this audible, I liked Max the main male lead, the female lead, Daphne drove me crazy with her continual annoying thought process regarding male control and dishonesty etc. etc. etc.. but hung in there as the story had promise and I hoped the ending would bring it all together gloriously only to get a quick wind up of My Wicked Marquees and the confusing introduction to book 2, which is not available on audible or amazon Australia yet... Searched for series and alas there is currently 7 books in the series written, yet only 1 available on audible. Not happy and will not bother following through with this series. I suggest Australian audible listeners browse net prior to downloading any audible to check if part of a series or check author through audible to see what is available to download in Australia. I get very annoyed when I download an audible only to find the next book, (in a series) is not available. If I wanted to read a hard copy, I wouldn't be an audible listener. Will request return on this audible, very disappointed all round.

A tormented past has left Thane with an insatiable need for violence, making him the most dangerous assassin in the skies. He lives by a single code: no mercy. And as he unleashes his fury on his most recent captor, he learns no battle could have prepared him for the slave he rescues from his enemy's clutches - a beauty who stokes the fires of his darkest desires. Elin Vale has her own deep-rooted scars, and her attraction to the exquisite warrior who freed her challenges her every boundary.
I struggled to listen to this audible, the story was slow and the female character just annoyed me. Didn't finish listening. It started interestingly but flagged and kept flagging, this one was not for me personally.
Declan, the Duke of Banbury, has no interest in ushering Rosalie Hughes, his stepsister, into society. Dumped on him with nowhere else to go, he's determined to rid himself of the headstrong debutante by bestowing on her an obscenely large dowry, making her the most sought after heiress of the Season. But Rosalie isn't about to go along with Declan's plans. Surrounded by fortune hunters, how is she supposed to find a man who truly wants her?
I did enjoy this book, however based on reviews expected more. The story line was good with a different direction to most but just felt it lacking in some area's to keep me enthralled. Both the main characters are great, just couldn't love it as much as I wished..

Ellie is horrified to discover the pharmaceutical company she works for is doing illegal experiments, splicing human and animal DNA, creating exotic new species. One such "experiment" captures her heart and she’ll do anything to save him - even if he hates her for it. Fury has never known compassion or love. He's spent his life in a cell, chained and abused by humans. The one woman he allowed himself to trust betrayed him. He vows to end her life but when she's finally in his grasp, harming her is the last thing he wants to do to the sexy little human.
1st book in new series and i am glad i downloaded it. Different story concept which i enjoyed. New species holds your interest as you travel down the road from there captivation to there freedom and the trials that lay ahead for them. I love the New Species characters, they've survived and focus on adapting and living in peace, respecting humans even when there hunted by some cult extremest. Narration excellent, will continue with book 2, hopefully the series will continue to be great.
Claire Parks has been very sick, but she's fine now - just fine - and ready to paint the town red. Well, pink. On her first excursion into the wild world of dating, she nets Bud, a tall, sexy, good-looking lumberjack. She won him fair and square, her prize for not dying. But after a weekend of wild sex, she discovers he's not what she thinks he is. Undercover police officer Lieutenant Tyler "Bud" Morrison can't believe his eyes. What's a 'princess' doing in a dance club known for its rough trade? She needs rescuing, and rescuing women is what Bud does best. He saw Claire first - finders keepers.
This one was hard to review as i actually loved the concept of the story and characters. In saying this, i enjoyed the start and slowly started getting annoyed with the intensely continual drawn out detail of the characters emotions/thoughts that seemed to go on and on, with the female smarting over being protected and not asked for her opinion, parts were good but i just felt flat through most of it and the ending was quick and over. Shame as it would have been a great series if more dynamic and fast.
He's different from any man she's ever known. However, she's sworn never to risk her heart again. Brooke Baker, sold as a mail-order bride, looks to her future with dread but firm resolve. If she survived Uncle Jackson, she can survive anyone. When Sky Jordan hears that his nefarious cousin has sent for a mail-order bride, he knows he has to prevent the marriage. No woman deserves to be left to that fate. Still, he's as surprised as anyone to find himself standing next to her before the minister.
Glad i chose this book. I really enjoyed it, easy listen and and past events are woven clearly and easily into current time. There is a lot of reference to Jesus Christ, as he is the hero's guiding light, and i found myself truly enjoying the way this creates the journey for the characters, not over the top but touching. Makes you think and feel. Enjoyable.

RITA Award-winning author Kresley Cole continues her bestselling Immortals After Dark series with this electrifying tale of a ruthless demon mercenary and the lovely young halfling who enchants him. A seductive beauty he can never have, yet can't resist.... Cadeon Woede will stop at nothing to atone for the one wrong that will haunt him forever. But once he secures the key to his redemption, the halfling Holly Ashwin, Cade finds that the woman he thought he could use for his own ends and then forget haunts him as much as his past.
Loved this one. Great characters and loved straight up and honest communication between them, no diddly daddle with these two. Narration fantastic. Keeps you interested, has all aspects you want in a book, love, humor, surprises etc. Enjoy.

Her last memory is of her violent death, and now she's screaming for vengeance. He's a Laird with enough sins to stain his soul, but he's cursed for the crimes of another. With a clan divided, an impending marriage, and whispers of dark magic threatening the Highlands, a tempting Banshee is the last thing he needs in his chambers.
This audible was very disappointing for me, from the start i had great difficulty listening to this audible and actually found myself drifting away and not even taking any interest in it as it was playing. I liked the concept of the story line however narration just didnt suit characters and overall just could not get in to it. I tried but alas i failed, unfortunately i wont even finish listening to complete audible. Will request credit refund on this one.

Dougal Kincaid has something to prove. After being injured in a battle with the Malcontents, he's ready for active duty protecting unsuspecting mortals from these villainous vampires who want to rule the world. But first he has to get control of himself...because just the sight of a certain lovely doctor has his injured hand doing some peculiar things, not to mention the sizzling sensation that burns along his dragon tattoo....
Another good story to the series. Initially took me awhile to get going as it was a bit slow but became more interesting and enjoyable with some good humorous bits here and there. Felt like so much was going on then within a short time it ended. Overall enjoyed, love that i get to catch up on the various characters of the series that are apart of each new book. Narrator was great, enjoyable and easy to listen too.
