Going into this, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. The premise sounded absurd, but I was curious and decided to check it out. This book was way better than I expected and was really quite fun. The narration is great and brought the book to life. I just wish it were longer!

As with the other 2 books in the series, this book continues to be tongue-in-cheek and deliberately campy. It's entertaining and gory. The author really likes to try and make things unique and crazy. The narration by Persephone Rose continues to fit this series like a glove. It just matches the zany style the author has.

This was an entertaining, if slow starting, story with some action and good dialog. I liked the main character, she was strong and snarky. The author does a good job of world building and the narrator brings this book to life in your imagination. I felt the balance between the romance aspects of the story and the paranormal were well done. I'd definitely be open to more in this series.

This is a heartwarming story about the end of life and the clarity that comes with age and perspective. The narrator has a nice sounding voice but there wasn't much variation in the voices he gave to the different characters. All in all, this was an alright listening experience.

So, I went for this book because the combination of Ambrose Ibsen and Joe Hempel is fantastic. I've enjoyed their dark, macabre partnership in several other books. Joe Hempel is a masterful voice actor and Ambrose Ibsen is a superb story teller, especially with dark, twisted stories. I would liken this to HP Lovecraft reimagined by Guillermo del Toro or Quinten Terontino. So much so, that I think it would make a bad ass movie... Anyway, if you love horror stories with a heavy psychological aspect and intense creep factor, you NEED to pick this one up.

This was by far my favorite book of the series so far. As with the first two books, this one stands alone just fine, but it's nice to know the background of Jade's other adventures. Anyway, the narration is good and this was so enjoyable. I'm really kind of bummed there aren't any more books in the series on Audible yet...

I found I really enjoyed this book. It has the same action/adventure feel of the first book with decent narration. The plot is different from the first book which gives it an episodic feel (like the Indiana Jones movies). Actually, it is more like a short-run show called Hooten and the Lady, but with the Lady being more of a bad ass. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes these sorts of stories.

I really liked how this author created their magic system. I also thought the author did a great job of world building. The characters are believable and, for the most part, engaging. I enjoyed how the narration between Jack Wayne and Rayna Cole. I've really only encountered a handful of books narrated by multiple people that I enjoyed. There is definitely a heavy romance aspect to this book but it is balanced with a good amount of paranormal content. All in all, this was very enjoyable and I'd be open to continuing the series.

This was very dark tale that seems to have taken inspiration from history stories like the black dalia or HH Holmes. The story felt pretty disjointed at times and could be hard to follow. The narration was fantastic which is the only reason I made it through the book. Honestly, this could have been much shorter.
