This story, Winstons World, follows Winston the dog and his friends as they go through three very short adventures. Part of the narrative feel is delivered by a piano accompaniment that seems to tell the story along side narrator Lee Ann Howlett. I felt I was back in my elementary school days watching Mister Rogers Neighborhood. These are great stories for the young child age group.

The Story
I found this short story to be quirky, interesting and fun, all in 32 minutes. I listened to this Italian reading as I read along in English. If you are an English speaker and your Italian needs a little sharpening I would suggest you do this as well.

The Narration
Francesca Consalvi has a wonderfully talented voice for narration with great inflection that I found added much to the action, characters, and story.

Need some quick social brilliance but your brain is locked up?
Need actions to practice so you can feel confident when things get social?
Need that robotic part of your brain to take over from your stammering befuddled self?
THEN THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! It's a stop gap measure to aid you in field relationship triage, but nothing more.

My feelings about this kind of instruction are that it is FANTASTIC at turning you into the author! You may find it provides great value for you in understanding social norms you may have found vague and un-obvious, but depending on wrote actions and responses can't convey your own uniqueness and values. The best thing about you is that you are you, don't cover that up with bad acting and scripts.

So, if the first paragraph in this review made sense to you, then buy this book! But if you found the second paragraph resonated more with you, you are far better off reading books about what you are putting into your brain that is making you curious enough to read about this book. Pick up the classic "As a man thinketh" and let your journey to being the real you begin from there!

But if you've already told yourself these things and understand the power of what you think, then this book if chock full of valuable reminders and new ways of looking at what kind of stuff we feed our brains.

Honestly, I expected this book to be full of light weight fluff and rah-rah mantras which create a momentary feeling of goodness. I was pleasantly surprised that it was instead a great reminder of lots of great principles presented in a way that should make it easy for me to re-listen again and again in the future. This is good stuff! Is it life changing? Probably not for most, but it is a good tool to keep the listener vigilant in monitoring and cultivating what he/she tells him/herself is reality.

After all, "You are what you eat" and what we feed our brains determine our thoughts, which determine our beliefs, which determine our choices, which determine our actions, which make us who we are.
