She's spent her whole life moving from town to town with her flighty mother, struggling to make ends meet and believing that someday she'll climb out of the gutter. After her mother's death, Ella is truly alone. Until Callum Royal appears, plucking Ella out of poverty and tossing her into his posh mansion among his five sons who all hate her. I have never been disappointed in any of his books and this one doesn't disappoint either--quite the contrary. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. I am growing and learning with the character as his journeys introduce him to such special, unique and interesting individuals that teach him something new each time.

Again, I don't mind a little romance, but language & smut are out for me, and I can always count on this author to keep things clean.

Thank you, Richard Paul Evans, for sharing your wonderful talent with the world. I feel like I am blessed to have the opportunity to read your books, but most especially I love this particular series.

"My name is Megan Chase. In less than 24 hours, I'll be 17. Although, technically, I won't actually be turning 17. I've been in the Nevernever too long. When you're in Faery, you don't age. So while a year has passed in the real world, agewise I'm probably only a few days older than when I went in. In real life, I've changed so much I don't even recognize myself."

What made the experience of listening to Relic Master: The Dark City, Book 1 the most enjoyable?

The great plot & story, as well as believable characters. I loved the good ones and hated the bad ones, just as you'd expect.

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's a toughie. But Galen & Raphie were the best, I suppose, although I enjoyed the heroine as well.

Have you listened to any of Dan Bittner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this is the first one.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I wanted to, but wasn't able to. But as soon as I finished the first one, I couldn't wait to get on to the next!

Any additional comments?

LOVE LISTENING TO 'YOUTH' OR 'YOUNG ADULT' books so there's very little languages and rarely any smut. In fact, I will rarely select a story unless I've already read or listened to one of their books before. I am very particular when it comes to that stuff.
