As children, Eva Rosselli and Angelo Bianco were raised like family but divided by circumstance and religion. As the years go by, the two find themselves falling in love. But the church calls to Angelo and, despite his deep feelings for Eva, he chooses the priesthood. Now, more than a decade later, Angelo is a Catholic priest and Eva is a woman with nowhere to turn. With the Gestapo closing in, Angelo hides Eva within the walls of a convent.
I loved this book!! Have so much hope for an evil time!! Cried, laughed, was so in awe of this novel!! Great read!!
Priceless F. Scott Fitzgerald manuscripts stolen in a daring heist; a young woman recruited to recover them, and a beach-resort bookseller who gets more than he bargained for - all in one long summer on Camino Island.
Not too impressed🙁usually love his books but he tried to write too much winded romance and not enough action.

An extraordinary, propulsive novel based on the true story of a family of Polish Jews who are separated at the start of the Second World War, determined to survive - and to reunite.
Amazing book!! Through tears and suspense, this families endeavors to survive were amazing. God sure looked after them!! Would recommend anyone to read this book to get a little insight of what the Jews went through during Hitler's sick time in power.
