Abby Davis isn't wearing a skimpy bikini or sipping umbrella drinks, not when she's busy chasing around four little ones. And Matt McKinney isn't looking for fun - he's a Navy SEAL, a grown man with a long list of missions and fallen brothers. Abby has brought her children to this beach to start over, to give them the enjoyable memories they deserve. Matt has been sidelined by a combat injury, and he is haunted by the loss of his best friend and the promise he made: to remain a SEAL - focused and dedicated.
This was a sweet story of finding love. I enjoyed the military references that weren’t so far fetched they were unbelievable. It was a good story for an afternoon rainy day. It made me smile and sad and I enjoyed the HEA.
Brenya was torn from her service in Beta Sector and reassigned to serve the Commodore of Bernard Dome’s aggressive physical needs. Out of her depth and confused, she flounders under his untried care. The leader of their Dome is as demanding as he is sweet. He is beautiful, and he is treacherous.
What would have made Absolute Power better?
If it was included in Stolen. Or if it was a true prolog not just an extended version of the first chapters of Stolen.
Would you be willing to try another book from Addison Cain? Why or why not?
Yes, I have so far enjoyed this series. It is dark but interesting .
What about Marcio Catalano’s performance did you like?
I think he does a good job with the characters I have heard a few minor mistakes in the 3 books I’ve heard so far. I think he does an excellent job
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointed I spent money on a book that is the beginning of the next book; I didn’t feel I missed any key elements had I not purchased this book
Any additional comments?
It is essentialy the beginning of stolens first four chapters extended to 7 if I remember correctly. It’s good the story line is well written but as soon as you listen to stolen you will get all the same information with a few less details. They even have the same opening line.
Private Kaylin Neya thought her home couldn't possibly get more crowded. But when one of her housemates, Annarion, decides to undertake the Barrani Test of Name, his friends refuse to let him face his task alone - and Kaylin's sentient home, Helen, is the only structure capable of shielding the rest of Elantra from the magnitude of their power. Annarion and Mandoran almost caused the destruction of the High Halls once already. Add nine of their closest friends, and the danger is astronomically higher.
I have enjoyed this series but also a little frustrated by it. Kaylyn’s character is maturing very slowly. Her constant self absorption with her own ideas is starting to ruin the series for me. This book was more an introduction of characters and setting the scene for the next book. Lots of good information but more of a bridge to what’s coming then an actual book. Also her weakness in keeping navarahm out of her head is appalling.
Riley Brown never imagined she would find her bliss on Georgia's quiet Sugarberry Island after years of Chicago's city life. With a new career and fantastic new friends, she's got it all - except for eligible men. But a gig staging a renovated beach house delivers a delicious treat - six feet of blue-eyed, gorgeous writer as delectable and Southern as pecan pie.
Would you consider the audio edition of Sweet Stuff to be better than the print version?
Amanda Ronconi makes all stories better!
Would you recommend Sweet Stuff to your friends? Why or why not?
I liked Riley’s story. I enjoyed that her character isn’t the perfect everything that she could be anyone you know. It’s a very sweet story with lots of mishaps to keep it fun and an adorable mastiff
What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Each character has their own voice and she doesn’t seem to have the issues with switching between them. She makes you feel what each character is feeling as if you were them.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Mercy Thompson's life is not exactly normal. Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire. But then, Mercy isn't exactly normal herself.
Mercy is a coyote who is raised by werwolves. The alpha of the local pack is her neighbor. She is drawn into trouble when a lone wolf shows at her shop. Now the alpha is in trouble and she has to save him....
A great read, well written, with a good plot and story. Highly recommend this series and any of Patricia Briggs stories.
With Treoir Island in shambles after a Medb attack that left the survival of the missing Belador warrior queen in question and Belador powers compromised, the Beladors have one hope for their queen's return and their own future: Evalle Kincaid, whose recent transformation has turned her into an even more formidable warrior. First Evalle has to locate Storm, the Skinwalker she's bonded with, whom she believes can find the Belador queen, but Storm stalks the witch doctor threatening Evalle's life. The hunter becomes the hunted.
I have enjoyed this series tremendously. Diana Love does a great job picking up this tale on her own. Hate that it's so long between books. There is a lot answered in this book with many questions left. Looking forward to the next installment.

Widow Libby Stratton arranged to be turned into a vampire after she was diagnosed with late-stage cancer. It wasn't the best idea she'd ever had, but she was desperate - she wasn't about to leave her seven-year-old son to be raised by her rigid, overbearing in-laws.
I enjoy Molly Harper's quirky characters. Her characters are funny and make you laugh. Enjoyed this and all of her books.
While my beau, Darcy, is off on a mysterious mission, I am once again caught between my high birth and empty purse. I am therefore relieved to receive a new assignment from the queen - especially one that includes lodging. The king's youngest son, George, is to wed Princess Marina of Greece, and I shall be her companion at the supposedly haunted Kensington Palace. My duties are simple: help Marina acclimate to English life, show her the best of London, and, above all, dispel any rumors about George's libertine history.
Always hate when it ends. Funny and well narrated. Looking forward to her next book hate to wait.
Offred is a Handmaid in the Republic of Gilead, serving in the household of the enigmatic Commander and his bitter wife. She may go out once a day to markets whose signs are now pictures because women are not allowed to read. She must pray that the Commander makes her pregnant, for in a time of declining birthrates her value lies in her fertility, and failure means exile to the dangerously polluted Colonies. Offred can remember a time when she lived with her husband and daughter and had a job, before she lost even her own name....
What did you like best about The Handmaid's Tale? What did you like least?
The idea was good, I thought that it was going to be great and then nothing.
Would you ever listen to anything by Margaret Atwood again?
What does Claire Danes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She did a good job reading but it was a story told by the individual so she really only had to play one character.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
I don't know, it would probably end better
From acclaimed best-selling author Sandra Brown, Tough Customer is a heart-pounding tale about obsession and murder, the fragile nature of relationships, and, possibly, second chances.
I liked the book quite a bit. You should read smash cut first. Shares the same characters. It is a romance but the story line is good. starts off slow but picks up to a good story.
