Dakota Landry just got out of prison after 12 years. If anyone can understand how that feels, it's his new friend, Sage, who is determined to help him get used to life on the outside - and believes Dakota didn't commit the crime he was in for. Jayden Wilson is a former prosecutor who agrees to look into the case at the request of Sage's lover, Adam. He sets out to prove Dakota is just another "innocent" ex-con, but once they meet, Jayden is more and more convinced Dakota just didn't do what everyone thinks he did.

Staff Sergeant Jasper "Ace" Atchison takes one look at Private Sonny Daye and knows that every word on paper about him is pure, unadulterated bullshit. But Sonny is desperate, and although Ace isn't going to take him up on his offer of "anything", that doesn't mean he isn't tempted. Instead, Ace takes Sonny under his wing, protecting him when they're in the service and making plans with him when they get out.

I am now thoroughly hooked on the story of The Assasin, who is now working for the CIA. This book will keep you on the very edge of your seat or have you pacing the room with bated breath! I have immediately purchased the next in the series..it is so much fun, and the narration is perfect. Tom Wood is a genius of the genre as well.

Deacon has an ugly history, a history that broke him, leaving him a ghost of a man. Out of necessity he left the normal world to descend into the criminal world and found he fit. So he stayed. Cold as ice and living off the grid, Deacon has no intention to connect, not with anyone. Then he returns to some remote cabins in the Colorado Mountains and finds they have new owners. One of them is Cassidy Swallow, a young woman willing to work hard to live her quiet dream in a house by a river surrounded by aspen and pine.

Only a privileged few know L'Ange's head of security, Arman de Soto, is a shifter, and even fewer know he's been systematically killing off a pack of werewolves. The reason for this vengeance is a secret Arman trusts with no one, quite the opposite of his obvious longtime pursuit of the chateau's overseer, Linus Hobbes. Despite Arman's reputation as a loner, the only thing he needs to complete his life is Linus. Predator and prey just don't mix, but Arman won't give him up.
