I completely agree with Holly! I listen to books mostly on my walks. Initially I thought that my headphone was far too sensitive as I was constantly distracted by the narrator's DRY mouth. I would turn the volume so low (to no avail) to avoid hearing him lick his lips constantly. Unfortunately this narrator is so distracting that I cannot concentrate on the story. Just awful!!!!!!!! :(

Alvirah Meehan, the lottery winner turned amateur sleuth; recently "hitched" private detective Regan Reilly; and their husbands Willy and Jack, are guests on the Royal Mermaid's maiden voyage, the Santa Cruise. The cruise is Commodore Randolph Weed's gift to a select group of people who in the last year made the world a better place. What he doesn't know is that his ne'er-do-well nephew, Eric, has smuggled two escaping criminals on board.

When a mystery really grabs my attention, I walk the extra distance to keep reading. This book, however, had me wanting to quit early as it simply did not hold my attention. The plot was weak and predictable. Disappointing......
