John Rain is a hero of very mixed feelings and his inner monologues are very useful to fleshing out his character. And if you haven't tried it, try Livia Lone as well as the John rain novels.

Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by diving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

The narrator's voice is so low pitched that it makes the book sound like a dirge. I know it's not an up-type tale but really!!!
I shouldn't judge the story because I only got in half an hour, but that was enough for me.

Yes, there is math, and some mind bending discussions of Einstein's theories but it's also a great discussion about how it all came about. Einstein was quite a guy!!! Well written, well researched and clearly explained - not the theory but the process.

The first complication is an unmistakable sign of sinister agendas afoot: a squirrel atop the train. But an even more ominous situation is in store when the trio plus Atticus stumble across a murder upon arrival at the station. They recognize Detective Gabriela Ibarra, who's there to investigate. But they also recognize the body - or rather that the body is a doppelganger for Atticus himself.
