Callie needed a fresh start. But moving to Stratham and opening a bookstore had more surprises than she expected. On the brink of death, he finds his mate and a reason to live. Can the two break the links between their past and survive the future?
I have to apologize as I started with this book instead of number one. Which may be why I was both confused and completely unsure what was going on the majority of the time. Most books are best read in a series no matter how much they say stand alone. You just miss some of the little things way to much. I usually love dragon books so sorry I can’t rate it higher as I just could not “get it”. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. My suggestion is read 1-3 first.
"For the love of God, cut off my head." The last request in Uncle Silas's will shocks everyone speechless, everyone except his favorite niece, Anna. More than death itself, the claustrophobic Silas fears a premature burial. Will her elders carry out his request? Anna is certain they will not. It's up to her to do the right thing, even if it is a bit grisly. Armed with butcher knife and candle, Anna heads for the crypt underneath the church in the dead of night. All does not go according to Anna's careful planning.
Story is very old fashioned in every way. Still it had its moments. The tale itself was rather a gory subject and yet narrator pulls it out of the hat in a way that keeps you listening. Not my favorite book but nevertheless worth listening to if you like the more goth type story. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. Not my cup of tea so giving it a pass. 👎🏻
Rose is a sweet, innocent little flower...and we’re about to claim her. Together. We’re rough, rugged, and rock-hard. Living alone on this mountain means fending for yourself, facing the elements, and handling whatever nature can throw at you. Like a girl, in the middle of nowhere, half frozen to death.
So if your looking for a short dirt and grits get down not much character building or grit to a storyline other then sex this is it! Narrators did a pretty good job except when one filled in the blank with their own voice for someone else then you kinda get thrown off so to speak. Lots of f bomb going on and can’t say it added one thing to the story kinda was a distraction. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. I did not rate it higher because of lack of characters strength and a real story. It’s just down and dirty over and over till the end! 👍🏻
When Dale returns to Bandera, Texas, for Christmas, all he expects is to spend time with his beloved dog Buck. However, running into Shanna, his high-school sweetheart, reminds him of the time he has wasted and all he lost by running away on Christmas Eve nine years earlier. When he discovers something awful happened to Shanna on the night that he left, Dale is determined to make it up to her, but first he must be able to forgive the way that God has forgiven him.
Book was ok. The narrator has the voice of a bedtime story teller. Soft and just a little flextion. Not that it was a bad narrator just felt wrong person for this particular book that deals with a very serious subject. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. 👍🏻
The perfect daughter. The perfect girlfriend. The perfect murder? Jenna is seriously ill. She's lost all hope of getting the heart transplant she needs to live. But just as her life is ebbing away, she receives a donor heart from a girl called Callie. Who was Callie and how did she die? Jenna is determined to find out.
As an organ donor I was on the edge of my seat the whole book. To imagine having such horrific insight into someone else’s death and life was truly frightening. The need to find out always out weights our desire to look away. I can’t say enough about this excellent story. Narrator did fabulous job. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. 👍🏻👍🏻
Piper was hoping to meet her favorite author before he died, but she was a day late. The famous man's luck ran out right before Piper showed up at his house for a casual interview. Piper finds herself at the heart of the literary world's biggest scandal yet. A celebrity crime reporter hires Piper as her apprentice. When a budding romance with a murder suspect begins to blossom, Piper finds herself in a dangerous situation. Interview with a Ghost is a riveting, cozy ghost mystery that will keep you engaged, and you'll gasp at the twist ending!
This story dragged so much I could not even finish it. For a start the narrative is to blah no excitement, no zing at any point. I stayed with it more then half way and it continued to just be blah. The story itself could have been fantastic. But it just failed to deliver. Perhaps the written version was better? I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. Honestly read it and skip the audio version. And I rarely say that. 👋🏻pass

Drafted against her will to become a "Sparrow" - a trained seductress in the service, Russian intelligence officer Dominika Egorova is assigned to operate against Nathaniel Nash, a first-tour CIA officer who handles the CIA's most sensitive penetration of Russian intelligence. The two young intelligence officers, trained in their respective spy schools, collide in a charged atmosphere of tradecraft, deception, and inevitably, a forbidden spiral of carnal attraction that threatens their careers and the security of America's valuable mole in Moscow.
I was so confused by the movie yet intrigued by the story itself that I just had to get the book. Glad I did explained a whole lot and was truly much much better then movie that left out a huge chunk of pretty important stuff. I won’t spoil it but just know, book is best.😀👍🏻👍🏻
Following a recent merger, American executive assistant Marian is sent overseas to meet with her company’s new Arab business partner. But once Marian sees who she’ll be working with - the handsome Sheikh Omar Almasi - she’s instantly wary of his good looks and brooding demeanor. When circumstances force her to step into her boss’ shoes, Marian is more than ready to prove she should be taken seriously...even if it means working side by side with the surly, sexy sheikh.
Story just ok. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. And while I did not hate it there was just to little character development for me. More wham ban thank you ma’am.

A great story of two girls in a mission to find who is behind the mystery surrounding her Aunt and uncles new inn. A strong young girl mystery. Liked it very much. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review.
When his father died, Billy Johnson felt he would never lose the vicious, gnawing grief that had formed in the innermost recesses of his soul. His father had been his mentor, his adviser, his fishing buddy, his protector, and most of all, his dearest and closest friend all of his life. It was grief he felt he could never be totally free of. Then, without his direct knowledge, a miracle occurred!
Sometimes you take a chance on a new book because it calls to your own spirit. I have been grieving the loss of my mother since 2011. I still miss her everyday. Her laugh, her jokes. Her way of always being there even with six other siblings. Narrator did an excellent job. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. Sometimes you brink and see the shadow of the one you miss. The turn of a head. A certain walk. Sometimes its angels reminding us we are never alone.
