Sherlock Holmes is an unparalleled genius who uses the gift of deduction and reason to solve the most vexing of crimes. Warlock Holmes, however, is an idiot. A good man, perhaps; a font of arcane power, certainly. But he's brilliantly dim. Frankly, he couldn't deduce his way out of a paper bag. The only thing he has really got going for him are the might of a thousand demons and his stalwart flatmate. Thankfully, Dr. Watson is always there to aid him through the treacherous shoals of Victorian propriety.

They hunt us. They bomb our worlds for target practice. A star cluster in the constellation of Orion rotates once every 1,000 years. Those who rule there have an ancient tradition: When each cycle ends, they train their fleets by spilling the blood of lesser beings. The enemy fleets are coming again. In response, the Rebel Worlds gather their starships to face the terrifying threat, and this time humanity is asked to stand with them. The last time they considered Earth, Vikings in longboats were raiding English coastlines. Today, we're less primitive. Today, we're a target.

Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but longstanding enmities dividing the Rhune make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods? The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind.

I like this story but it is a bit misleading this has become a story about the women and not about a male hero. i don t mine it having a women as the heroin but when i started the series i thought it would be a boy coming into manhood but it seems that the man is a scared wussy that need to be led around buy the nose. the story is good and well read and interesting the Characters are well rounded but god killer is not what you would expect. if you are looking for a story about a man over coming his shortcomings so far that is not what this story has been so far. I don t really need your reasons for why you wrote the story and all those involved if you write a book you write a book. sounds to me that you need to stand on your own or put all thpse other people as co authors and call it a day. a the beginning you spent 30 mins telling your listener's how you can't write a story by youself. you should just have your wife write a book.
