Wildcat: a football formation in which the ball is snapped, not to the quarterback, but to another player lined up in the quarterback position. Wild, Cat: a beautiful woman from the sky, who hooked me against the rails, and has me on the ropes. Sweet like honey, with a hint of sass burning behind her pretty brown eyes, she took over my heart without warning. I'm Quinn Bailey, quarterback for the New York Mavericks. Sports analysts predicted I'd break records and take my team all the way. But no one predicted this. And just like the other team, I never saw it coming.
One of my favourite books of 2018. As I expected this was a fun and oh so spicy listen too. Both Quinn and Cat are fabulous characters and I would love to read and listen to more of their life together in the future. One click now, totally worth it.
I didn't mean to sneak a peek at my older brother's best friend. But when I catch him showering by mistake, I can't help but look. The guy is massive - and I do mean everywhere. We're all home to celebrate Dad's retirement as one big happy family, except my newlywed brother's already getting divorced, my mom keeps asking why I'm still single, and most frustrating of all, Barrett Wilson is staying with us at my parents' home for the weekend. I've known Barrett for years, so why am I suddenly noticing so many new things about him - like how big he is? It's maddening.
This was a new author to me and when I was given the opportunity to listen to Bro Code on audible I jumped at the chance.
This was a fun, entertaining listen which managed to get and keep my attention from the start.I loved both the main characters although I will admit that I wanted to hit Barrett Wilson across the back of the head a couple of times.
The story line was great with Ava having feelings (since she was a teenager) for her brother Nick’s best friend Barrett (who incidentally is equally as smitten with Ava). However neither of them have acted on them, but is this about to change?
I could happily listen to Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan again and again. I loved that Bro Code was done as a duet narration rather than just in dual as honestly this has become my favourite way to listen to audio book and in Bro Code it worked particularly well.
I am not sure I will ever be able to look at a cucumber in quite the same way again thanks to Barrett’s culinary actions. Both narrators were able to to convey the funny and often hot interactions between Barrett and Ava believably and had me engrossed from the start.
I loved the secondary characters, particularly Ava’s parents, they were just so nice and her mother had me in stitches at times. Bro Code is a story of love, trust and taking a giant leap of faith. I also loved that this was not simply a romance story but that Kendall Ryan introduced some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat wondering how the story would pan out.
This may have been my first “read” from Kendall Ryan but it will not be my last.
Salome knows only one way to live - under Prophet David’s rule. In the commune she calls home, Salome knows nothing of life beyond her strict faith, nor of life beyond the Fence - the fence that cages her, keeps her trapped in an endless cycle of misery. A life she believes she is destined to always lead, until a horrific event sets her free. Fleeing the absolute safety of all she has ever known, Salome is thrust into the world outside, a frightening world full of uncertainty and sin; into the protective arms of a person she believed she would never see again.
Raw, gritty and oh so so dark. Not for the feint of heart. However the story drew me in and I was totally riveted. This was my first book from Tillie Cole and it won’t be my last.
Hailey Taylor Emery has a hunch that her favorite client at Fetch - an anonymous virtual assistant service - is actually hockey star Matt Eriksson. Although it's against the rules for her to check his file, she's 95 percent sure she spends at least part of each day texting with her lifelong crush and catering to his every need. Still nursing a wounded heart thanks to her recent breakup, Hailey is perfectly content with some harmless online flirting...until she has to meet her client.
This is fast becoming one of my favourite series for 2018. Cannot wait for more in the series.
Wade Abbott is one and done. One look, one conversation, one weekend, and he knows who he wants. Except Mia Simpson is not free to return his affection. In fact he suspects she's in an abusive marriage, but she never confirms that, and he has no choice but to mind his own business where she's concerned.
Reading a Butler Vermont book to me is like going home to visit my family. I love the Abbott and Coleman families and thoroughly enjoyed Here Comes The Sun.
I have been intrigued by Wade Abbott from the first time he was mentioned and my interest has only been peaked as each book in the series was written. So to say I have been waiting for Wade’s book is an understatement.
Marie Force did not disappoint in any way. It is an extremely well written sweet, sexy and romantic book. Marie Force's characters are often slightly flawed, yet so realistic and relatable that you cannot help but be drawn in. Here Comes The Sun shows us that you when you know it is right, it is right and that no matter what you should follow your heart, even when at times your head is advising caution.
Wade Abbott was enthralled with Mia Simpson from the first time he met her at a yoga retreat 2 years ago and although he has not seen or heard from her in over a year, he has never forgotten the beautiful women who captured his heart.
When Wade finds a nearly frozen Mia unexpectedly on his doorstep he has no intention of turning her away. Obviously she too has felt the pull of attraction, otherwise why would she have shown up in Butler? What follows is a surprising and at times heart wrenching story of determination, courage, strength and above all love and acceptance.
As always we caught up on other members of the family which was great and I read this book in almost one sitting, I was so entranced and riveted to the story. Marie Force. I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it, I would love to be adopted by this family.
This is one of my most favourite series and one I highly recommend. I cannot wait for the next book in the series which promises to be amazing based on the ending in Here Comes The Sun.
Jesse Ward is back in the newest novel in the Sunday Times and New York Times best-selling This Man series! Life is good for Jesse 'The Lord' Ward. Perfect, actually. He still has the charm, he's in great shape, and he still reduces his wife, Ava, to a pool of desire with a mere look. He's in full control, just how he likes it. But Jesse's perfect world falls apart when a terrible accident lands Ava in hospital with a life-threatening head injury.
Where does With This Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
10 Plus Star Review With This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas
I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the latest book in one of my favourite series ever since it was announced. With This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas was everything I hoped for and so much more.
Jesse and Ava have always held a special place in my heart, but now I have to say that Jesse Ward is now one of my top book boyfriends of all time. Until I read and listened to this book I had no idea just how much I have missed these characters and his wonderful Jesse-isms.
With This Man had me laughing out loud so many times and sobbing too. Jodie wove together a true masterpiece that absolutely did justice only to the Ward family but also their extended family of friends.
Not only did I read this one but I immediately also purchased the audible version to listen to it as well. The audible addition was great to listen to. It brought across the angst, worry , frustration, humour and fear so much that my heart was palpitating at times.
For fear of saying too much and to be honest I do not think any words I write will do this book justice, I am not going to say any more, other than to state that if you are a fan of this author and her series, then this is a must read.

Fun-loving professional hockey player Benjamin "Benny" Perry is all about scoring, both on and off the ice. With his good looks and easygoing personality, women flock to him, which is great. It keeps things the way this Las Vegas Wolves forward likes - uncomplicated. Too bad that's all about to change. When Benny decides to get back at his coach by pursuing his daughter, Eliza, who's just returned to town under mysterious circumstances, complications abound.
What did you like best about this story?
4.5 Star Review Complications On Ice (Boys of Winter #3) by S.R.GreyThis is fast becoming one of my favourite series. This is the third book in the series and is is Benjamin “Benny” Perry and Eliza’s story and one I thoroughly enjoyed. This book is a stand alone but I feel you would enjoy it even more if you read the other books in the series first. I love the camaraderie between all the characters. The development of Benny and Eliza’s relationship, both as friends and then lovers was great. Their was plenty of drama and intrigue, not to mention a few “white lies” that complicated their relationship. This story had me intrigued from the first although I was not sympathetic to some of the lies that Eliza initially told to keep her secret. The truth always comes out and she really needed to be honest with Benny from the outset. What will happen when their secrets are revealed? Will the remain together or will it break them apart? One click and find out.I love S R Grey's style of writing, her characters are strong and have depth and I am excitedly anticipating the next book in the series. My only slight issue I had is that I prefer a male narrator when it is a male perspective, however this narrator did a credible job on this narration,

4 Star Review of The Cowgirl Jumped Over the Moon by Linda Ballou
Linda Ballou was a new author to me and I listened to this book on audio and really enjoyed it.
This was one of those books that I listened to with a great deal of interest since I was not familiar with the world that it is based on. It is obvious that Ms. Ballou knows the world of horses and showings.
What happens when you lose almost everything you have worked for, that is the position that Gemcie finds herself in. Struggling to overcome injury and loss she longs for peace.
I almost felt as though I was in the high Sierras such were the descriptions of the sights experienced in the book. The characters were well written and I enjoyed Gemcie’s journey to find herself.
This book kept me interested and it was obvious that the author wrote with a great deal of experience.

Life was simple...until an intriguing proposition came my way. When the IT tycoon made me that offer, I thought it was a good deal...until it wasn’t. A perfect balance of beauty and intelligence, but the fire inside her refused to be tamed.

4 Star Review of Hard Game (Wild Boys Sports Romance #1) by Harper Lauren
Harper Lauren is a new author to me and I listened to this book on audio. Hard Game was a good start to a new series and I look forward to the next book from Harper Lauren.
I enjoyed Hard Game but I was not keen on the narration and did not feel that they did the book justice, however that is just my opinion.
Cassy is a 25 year old spoiled rich girl; used to spending her father’s money and partying hard. When her father has had enough he sends her to stay with her aunt in the hopes that she will change her ways before it is too late.
Ivan is recovering from a injury that may end his career, he is intrigued when Cassy’s father approaches him and offers him money to befriend and guide her, hopefully teaching her to become more responsible along the way.
The attraction between Cassy and Ivan grows but what will happen when Cassy finds out that Ivan was paid to get to know her?
From the start Cassy annoyed me and although she grew on me (as her attitude improved) I really couldn’t get into her.
Despite having narrowly escaped death's clutches, Christopher Barlow is grateful for nothing. His capacity to love has been crushed. He hates everyone and everything, completely unable to see past the gray stain of misery that coats his perception of the world. It's only after he involuntarily joins a band of depressed misfits who are struggling to overcome their own problems, does Christopher start to re-evaluate his lot in life.
Heartbreakingly poignant and soul shattering. My emotions are fractured after listening to this story but I need to write a few words. Sawyer Bennett has delivered a brilliant, emotional story of hope and loss, of pain and courage. I was determined not to read this book, well not anytime soon, but instead of reading it I listened to it on audio. This book is confronting on numerous levels but I am eternally grateful that I found the courage to listen. The Truth About Sunshine is burned into my soul. Thank you Sawyer Bennett.
