Dana Pembroke has been able to glimpse the future of those she touches for as long as she can remember. But she never saw Aidan coming. When the tall, dark Celt with the charming grin yet world-weary eyes walks through her door, the future she sees for him is one full of violence, danger, deception...and passion. Because amidst the terrifying battles that unfold in her visions, she also sees herself in Aidan's arms and in his bed.
OK, so this Dianne Duvall book took me longer to pick up than I normally do with her books. I have been in a reading funk lately. But that’s not what you came to hear. You wanted to hear about the brilliance of this book and let me tell you, OMG it’s here.
This is Aidan’s book. The Immortal Celt with a heart of gold. He has been an Immortal Guardian for nearly 3000 years and the loneliness is wearing on him. A couple of books back (seriously read the entire series), he broke into network headquarters in hopes of finding a gifted one that could possible love him. Since then, he has been having chance encounters with gifted one’s and hoping to find a spark with them. No luck so far, until he meets Dana, a psyche, and the sparks fly hot, hot, hot. But Dana is having visions of Aiden’s brethren turning against him and Gershom is causing havoc again. He has had a year to plan his next attack and this one is going to be big.
I was rooting for Aiden since Shadow Strike. I was happy when he finally got his story. Dianne’s Immortal Guardians series is one of my favorites. She always keeps the story interesting with the right about of action, romance and suspense. It’s usually a no brainer for me for this author. The fact that her books are paired with Kristen Potter, WOW. Dianne lines them up and Kristen knocks them down. I cannot wait until the next book get here…. (rocking impatiently).
IMO.. If Alpha Males, strong woman, laugh out loud scenes and smoking hot romance, are your thang…..Seriously Read the Entire Series. You will not regret it.
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a brokenhearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her. Lydia Green doesn't know whether to scream or cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing altogether.
I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book. From the opening sentence of the first chapter, I knew this book would become a favorite of mine.
I read all of Kylie Scott Stage Dive Series. I was heartbroken when the last book was released because that meant I was saying goodbye to characters that I have grew to love. I have shared countless moments of me laughing in my cubicle, while my coworkers wondered what the hell was wrong with me. So imagine my happiness when I ran across this book and realized it was also narrated by Andi Arndt as well, SCORE!!!
We recall Vaughan from the Stage Dive series. His band has broken up and he is back home in his hometown; only to discover a distraught female in his bathtub, still wearing her wedding gown. Lydia has just had what should have been the happiest day of her live ruined. A video was sent to her phone, with her soon to be husband getting it on with his best man. Seriously!!! She does what any mildly rational bride does, she high tails it out the backdoor, jumps the fence and hides out in the neighbors bathroom tub and has her meltdown in private. That was until the naked neighbor appears waiting to take a shower. What’s a jolted bride to do….
Kylie always writes a book that delivers a hilarious good time, no matter the drama that is present. Her witty dialogue and off beat sense of humor, kept me laughing throughout the book. Pairing her book with Andi, just seems right. Some authors and narrators just fit together. Like Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi, Kylie and Andi make a fantastic pair.
IMO, buy the book and get ready to enjoy a hilarious, well written book.

After divorcing the woman he'd been with since he was 17, Nick Fuller is starting over. He owns the restaurant of his dreams, and he's determined to meet new people, find new passions, and experience life to its fullest. Easier said than done - that is until he meets his new neighbor, Bryce Tanner. Neither man has ever wanted another guy, but there's a connection between Nick and Bryce from the start - a spark they can't deny.
I fell in love with this book when I first read it. Which happens to be the first time I read anything by Riley Hart and I feel in love with her as an author. I’m was extremely disappointed that none of her work have made its way to audible yet. So imagine my great joy when this book, my first love of Riley’s, came out on audible. I was literally giddy in my seat.
Nick and Bryce are two characters that you fell in love with instantly. They story isn’t only about love but it’s about compromise and sacrifices that are sometimes taken because of who we love. It’s beautiful written and emotional. Both characters are beginning something that neither was expecting or thought would ever happen to them, but neither can walk away from the joy the other brings them. I read the book in one sitting and I listen to the audible in one sitting. I love this book that much. Plus the hot as ever love scenes make it that more enjoyable.
Sean Crisden was an ok narrator. I was able to get into the story, mainly because I love it and partially because he has a nice voice. It’s easy to distinguish the different characters throughout the book. My only issues with his voice is when he does the dialogue for the female voices. Every female sounds whiny, ugh. But please don’t let that stop you from enjoying this book.
So IMO(in my opinion), pick up this book and enjoy a really good romance.
Abby Tanner is content to live on her mountain while she creates beautiful works of art and enjoys the peace and quiet. All that changes when a strange golden spaceship crash lands on it. Now Abby has to deal with a golden ship, a tortured alien, and an insane local sheriff.
This was another book that I waited way too long before I decided to read/ listen to it. I have listened to several of S. E. Smith’s book and I don’t know why I hesitated with this one. As with her other books, this book was an excellent read. Abby is a enjoying her mountain when a spaceship lands in her meadow during a rather bad thunderstorm. She is intrigue with the spaceship itself as well as the man she finds laying nearby. Neither Abby nor Zoran can guess how their chance encounter will shape their future.
It is filled with strong independent, sassy, confident women that are the right combination of independence and vulnerability. The hero is mouthwatering, alpha of a male. He protects, cherishes and kidnaps what he wants. (I’m not going to say any more, my lips are seal)
I love David Brenin voice. Umm like silk, smooth and seductive. I have already started listening to the second book, because I love Cara in this book.
IMO, pick up this Sci-Fi Romance and enjoy.
US law enforcement agent Heather Lane can read minds but not the future. The dream of battle and blood that recurs every night must be a fluke, some obscure terror from her own mind. What its significance might be, she can't guess: an attack from seven psychotic vampires at once, only separated from nightmare by an eighth very different immortal. A handsome, brave man fighting at her side, a man she misses when she wakes.
So I have been waiting for this book since reading the last Immortal Guardian book, Night Unbound, and let me tell you that the anticipation didn’t disappointment. We catch up with our beloved Immortals about a year after Zach and Lissette have married. Ethan is still struggling with losing Lissette to Zach and the loneliness that is starting to, once again, invade his lonely days. That is until he accidentally runs across Heather in a random field and she helps him with a scrimmage. Ethan is instantly attracted to the beautiful, strong woman that knows how to handle herself in a fight and her way around a gun.
Heather has been dreaming about Ethan for a year. The same dream for 365 days but she really didn’t believe that it would happen. I mean, seriously, vampires don’t really exist. But like a lunatic she has been visiting the same clearing in the woods that has haunted her dreams for a year. Nothings has ever happened until her very dream starts to unfold right in front of her very eyes and the hot guy from her dream is standing (well fighting) right in front of her.
This story is explosive. I loved every minute of it. With all of the Immortal Guardians books, this book combined the right combination of action, love and hilarious scenes to have my gripping my tablet in anticipation of the next word. I mean this story was action pack, just when I thought everything was resolved, nope Dianne throws another curve our way. She had more saying “what the hell else can happen” throughout that entire book and that wasn’t a bad thing. I was entertained and enthralled constantly. I enjoyed once again, catching up with old favorites and reading about news one yet to come. Here’s keeping my fingers crossed that Aiden’s book is next, you hear that Dianne.
And I love Kristen. She had done all the Immortal Guardian’s book and has yet to disappoint. Brava Girlie!!
IMO, pick up the audible. Plug in your earbuds and get ready for the ride of your life and make sure to try hydrated.

After 20 years incarcerated in a vampire prison, Luther is finally free. But before he can close this chapter of his life once and for all, a kidnapping thrusts him back into the world of Scanguards and into a confrontation with the vampires whose mates he very nearly killed two decades earlier. Actress Kimberly "Katie" Fairfax has turned her back on Hollywood and now teaches drama at a college in San Francisco. When Scanguards owner Samson's daughter disappears during a performance, Katie blames herself.
As with most of Scanguard Vampire readers, I have been in love with the series since Samson meet Delilah. So when I heard that Ms. Folsom had revisited the Scanguard world and now Luther was getting his own book, I was gitty with anticipation. No seriously, I emailed her several times asking for release dates for both the kindle edition and the audible edition. Let me say it was worth the wait, Luther’s Return didn’t disappoint in any shape, form or fashion.
Twenty years has passed since we last heard from our Scanguard friends, and every couple appears to have offspring. Some significant changes have taken place. I will not reveal too many details but a couple of people that were human or now vampires and more mature. Katie (formerly Kimberly from Yvette’s Haven) is a drama teacher at the local college and is presenting a play that is staring Samson’s oldest child, Isabella. Everything goes well until Isabella misses her cue. The Scanguard family jumps into gear to desperately find Isabella and return her safely to her worried parents. Of course, Katie isn’t the type of female to go home and lick her wounds, nope. Like the many Scanguard heroine before her, she sets out to solve the mystery of Isabella disappearance and bring her home safely but she whom will she turn to for help. I mean she is only one gorgeous, curvy witch without powers.
Luther has just been released from the vampire prison after serving twenty years for the wrong he committed against Samson, Amaury and their mates. During that time, he has had time to reflect on his life and decides to make amends for his wrong doings. He just wishes it wasn’t the same night that Isabella disappeared. Now Luther is trying to prove his innocence and resist the alluring temptation of one gorgeous, curvy witch. Together Luther and Katie, set out on a fast paced, action adventure (as only Tina can deliver) that is as interesting as it is scorching and I do mean scorching. I had to look at my Fitbit to check my heart rate a couple of time.
IMO, buy the book. What’s not to like? Once again we have been given another fantastic Scanguard book with a hero who doesn’t believe he can love again or should be love again. A heroine that is just stubborn enough to penetrate the hero’s heart but still vulnerable to have her heart rescued as well. Plus did I mention the scorching romance scenes. Hot Damn!!!
*WITH THIS BOOK, I CAN SEE THE GROUND WORK FOR SCANGUARD 2.0, THE NEXT GENERATION. (CLIPPING MY HANDS EXCITINGLY)
After 10 long years of education and residency, Dr. Emmy MacKenzie decides it's time for a much-deserved vacation. But when she's traveling the British Isles, a twist of fate at the gates of the ancient castle of Duart hurls Emmy more than a hundred years into the past and into the arms of a magnificent Highlander who thinks she is his long-lost wife, Heather MacLean.
Dr. Emmy Mackenzie is sent back in time by a mischievous elderly man (we never find out too much about him) when she makes the mistake of saying that life 100 years ago were simpler times. She is in 2010 one minute and with a blink of the eye she is in 1895. She meets a gorgeous highlander, Connor, who claims she is his wife that runaway on their wedding night 10 years ago to the date. Connor is angry; his wife decides now after ten years to come back to him and claims she doesn’t know him and worst of all, that she isn’t his wife. The audacity of her but Connor can’t resists the feeling and lust that keeps growing inside of him the more he argues with his long lost wife. Soon secret are discovered, lies are reveled and decisions will have to be made, for better or worse.
I have always loved a good Highlander Romance novel but when you combine that love with some fantasy (if only a little bit) and it’s fairly well written, than my friend, you me sold. The last time I tried to read a time travel novel, my brain went to mush because I keep thinking about the shoulda, woulda but with this novel, I was able to turn that part off and just enjoy the pure romance, humor, and joy behind this book. The writing is done in such a manner that the characters and scenery are extremely vivid in the minds of the reader. It does make the book that much more enjoyable to read.
As always, Kristen Potter does a fantastic job with the voices. She has a perfect voice to do Scottish accents. I have listen to her do other novels and she is always fabulous but I like her the best when she does the Highlander novels.
IMO(in my opinion), pick up the book and read. It does contain a little time travel but it's not enough for me to categorize this book as anything other than a good romance novel.

A dark evil threatens Morgana de Moray's Highland home. The Druid Princess is left with no choice but to strike a deadly bargain with the dangerous Berserker and risk all to unleash the beast from within the man.
I don’t understand how someone cannot LOVE this book. For me as a PNR lover, it has it all. Evil supernatural being out to destroy the world. Check. Strong Heroes determine to save the world as well as a part of themselves they thought was lost. Check. Heroines, that manage to be strong but at the same time vulnerable. Check. A sweet, simple love story that makes the heart go, AWWWW! Check. Some steamy romance scenes that melt my headphones and left me breathless. CHECK CHECK & CHECK. And the Narrator, mmm Derek Perkins can read to me anytime.
IMO, buy the book. For that matter, buy the trilogy. It's worth every minute of your purchase. If nothing else, you have Derek Perkins voice. WOW!!

Traumatized by her past and struggling to move on from it, Sera has spent the past three years of college hiding herself from the world and content to stay that way. A chance encounter with Liam shatters her sheltered world, leaving her stunned and shaken by the strange feelings and emotions he arouses in her, feelings she never thought she would experience and that frighten her in their intensity.
I desperately tried to like this book. Even my favorite narrator couldn't make this book enjoyable. The author tried to make the characters enjoyable but instead all of them were either annoying or extremely superficial. I don’t remember being that naive and gullible in college. The main heroine is extremely passive. She lets everyone, including her so called best friend, push her around and make decisions for her. She doesn't have an independent bone in her frail body. And if I was to hear the statement, “she look at them with her haughty expression” one more time during this story, I think I would have screamed. The hero was sad. I felt no depth from him at all. Even the side characters couldn't make me like this book.
This book has a lot of similarities with the Twilight Series. A lonely girl falls in love with gorgeous hot guy. Gorgeous hot is irresistible drawn to lonely girl. A gorgeous guy turns out to be a vampire and lonely girl doesn't care even if it means her life might be in danger. The only difference is that this book contains more detailed (and I do mean detailed) smex scenes. I wasn’t engaged while reading this book at all. Usually I can finish an audible book within a day; this book took me about two weeks.
I love Tavia Gilbert, as I have stated she is my favorite narrator but not even her brilliance at making a story come to life could save this book from being the bore that it was.
IMO, this book is a no for me.

Kali Parks is a shadow in the war between two factions that are fighting to gain control of Chicago. Born and raised on the streets, she stands as a silent sentinel at her brother’s side as he battles to gain control. She will do whatever it takes to bring peace to those she has pledged her life to protect, including fighting against the creatures that came to their world almost six years before.
Another slam dunk for Ms. Smith. This book, just like the first, was excellent. In this book we meet Razor, who is Hunter’s older brother (refer to the first book). It is six years after the “Aliens” have made contact with Earth and except for a few major areas; most humans have come to accept that the aliens have come in peace and not to destroy. The city formerly known as Chicago is the last major city were the rebels haven’t really got with the plan of peace as the rest of the world. Thus Razor is sent in to either settle the rebellion or destroy any and all things in his way. And that was the plan, until he meets Kali, beautiful, stubborn, warrior Kali, who is chief of her brother’s security. Her brother is the leader of one of the faction of rebels in the city of Chicago. Razor knows instantly that this fierce, small warrior is his amate but Kali is very slow to let any man claim her especially Razor (even if his presence makes her body hum as it has never hummed before). But surely, Razor won’t give her up without a fight and Kali won’t go so quietly either.
I really loved this story. As with all the heroines I have read so far with Ms. Smith, she manages to give them just the right about of vulnerability without making them blabbering females and give them the right amount of independent without being condescending. Kali compliments Razor and vice versa. We are also able to catch up with characters from the first book, Hunter’s Claim, and discover how their lives have progressed since the last book. I’m eagerly anticipating Dagger’s Hope. I think I might have to read it before it comes to audible because I’m seriously sitting on pins and needles. UGH!!!!!!
David Brenin voice is simply Yummy!!!!! He melts my headphones and curl my toes. This guy is hot Hot HOT!!!!!
IMO, Buy the book. You don’t really need to read the first book to understand this book but it does help to better understand the world and fascinating characters that Ms. Smith has created.
