Jewel is a tomboy who was eventually discharged from the military because she struggled to get along with others and couldn’t adjust to the military's restricted lifestyle. After a scandal that disrupted the social order back home, Kay is banished to a zoological research vessel, where he acts as curator. He struggles to prove himself, trying to earn his place in the order again so that he can end his exile and return to his normal life. But when it turns out that Jewel was abducted from home and placed in an alien zoo, with Kay as the only other being around, she questions his intentions.
I’m fairly new to sci-fi romance (this is the 2nd book I’ve ever bought) but I am truly happy to love this story! If anything I wish it was a little longer so I could hear more of Jewel and K’s story. The story itself is thorough ends well (yay for HEA!) and the narration is superb. Well definitely one click from these authors again!
Jennie Arnsby wants nothing more than to turn around and go home. Her family is on their way to Deadwood, South Dakota, when Aiden finds his way to their small wagon train. His teasing and banter leave her wanting to toss him out the back and in the dust. When they are separated outside the city, she is left wondering if she'll ever see him again. Aiden Bradly wants to find his gold and return home. Nothing more. He can't afford to get tangled with a woman. He's doing just that until he meets the feisty Jennie.
I think Dreams in Deadwood, Book 1, was very sweet. Some of the plot became predictive and the main character was naive enough (as in sure was normal for the time) that it drove me a little crazy, but overall the plot and characters were good. Meghan Kelly did a fantastic job with the narration and it was fairly easy to figure out who was talking with the voice inflections.

This totally original audiobook is about a cock...sure man who is caulky, cocked up, and above all else, confident. He lays it into a lady real good and leaves her satisfied. This is a totally great comedy erotica story that in no way infringes on a certain word, no sirree, not at all.
Among the recent TM fiasco, I absolutely loved everything to do with Cocky Author! I giggled throughout the ridiculous 15 minutes of this short story. Meghan Kelly did it justice. Thanks Fettucine Holliday for making this everything it should be and more. :-D
Bear is leather and lawless. Thia is prim and proper. It will never work between them. It's a lie they almost believe.
I love this series and I love Bear and Thia! TM Frazier continues this fantastic and gripping story about King, Bear, & Preppy. I love the narration by Molly Glenmore and Rob Shapiro. They make this story come to life. I have never repeated sections of books before but found myself hitting playback to relisten to favorite lines. So great!
Debbie Reynolds is a runaway, New York City-bound. Living on the road comes with many challenges - fighting for her next meal, seeking safe places to sleep, and dodging men with less than honorable intentions, all while searching for meaning in a life she finds painful and pointless. Damon "Preacher" Fox, vice president of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club, has been in prison for club-related crimes. As his release draws near, he reevaluates his choices. When Preacher and Debbie's paths cross, they find in each other a sense of peace. But life is about to catch up with Preacher.
Madeleine Sheehan continues his amazing series with Undeserving. I don’t often leave reviews with comments but I absolutely love this series and the narration! This story is a bit of a tear jerker but it’s REAL and that is what I like about it. I can’t wait to continue hearing the lives of Eva and Deuce with their kids, as I’m glad to know Eva has found some peace with her parents, Preacher and Wheels. :)
Adam Rawn wasn't looking for a sub when he went to the new club, Chained, with his friend, Rick Winter. Not exactly anyway. But he wasn't adverse to it. Instead, what he found was a Domme with an air of mystery about her. Mistress Angela has described herself as being new to the scene but quite sure that she was a Domme; Master Adam can't shake the feeling that maybe there are some hidden desires that Mistress Angela is unaware of.
If you could sum up The Sassy Submissive in three words, what would they be?
Realistic story about someone's entrance and exploration of 'The Scene' with a realistic romance intertwined. Some definitely hot and steamy elements along with sweet.
Any additional comments?
I was a bit happily surprised at the length of this book (15+ hours), which often leads to good story and character development. Golden Angel did just that with her attention to detail. My only critique (and it probably more of a personal one than to the masses), is that it almost took too long for the couple to finally get together. After the very first time they met, it took another 3 hours of listening for them to meet again. That is a lot of anticipation! There was a bit of repetitiveness in the character's thoughts (e.g. a review of their behavioral intentions) throughout the book that I thought were unnecessary but overall, I was happy with the reasoning behind why characters were doing certain things which lead to a more realistic story in the end. Great job, Golden Angel! I would definitely listen or read her other books based of the good quality of writing and storytelling.
Along the breathtaking and unforgiving coast of Snaeland, Asta's ancestral farm is plagued with bad luck. The kinless maiden's turf walls continue to be found damaged, and there are not enough farmhands to maintain the property. Claw marks in the dirt revive old memories of the wolf attack that left her scarred, and she begins to fear the whispers are true - that Fenrir, son of Loki and king of the wolves, has come to claim her and her land.
I enjoyed this romance story about shapeshifters. Although the plot is similar to some I’ve read in the past, I appreciate the lack of wolf pack politics. I like the setting of the story and the narration brings this setting to life. Good story with great narration. I’ll be listening to more!
The international best seller that brings a dark and sensual look at the tale of Rumpelstiltskin. Laila sees her impending death in the mountains of straw waiting to be spun into gold. A shadowy stranger sees an opportunity for vengeance. Born to a nightmarish destiny that crushed and embittered his faith in humanity, he devotes himself to dealing in dark desires and desperate souls, and Laila's is ripe for the trade.
Spin was a dark spin on Rumpelstiltskin and one of his many stories. Although Rumpelstiltskin is already a dark story, the author plays on this, making an interesting new tale for the modern age. Would like to read the second in this series! The narration of Spin by Kevin Green was just lovely. He made the story sound like a fantasy come true, like a live-action Disney movie bringing about dark magic. I would definitely listen to his narration again.
London, 1786. Lord Henri-Antoine has returned from the Grand Tour to a life of privilege and excess. A vast inheritance allows him every indulgence, free from responsibility. Yet, Henri-Antoine maintains a well-ordered existence, going to great lengths to conceal an affliction few understand and many fear. Miss Lisa Crisp is a penniless orphan who relies on the charity of relatives to keep her from the poorhouse. Intelligent and unflappable, Lisa will not allow poverty to define her. She leads a useful life working among the sick poor.
Lucinda nailed it again! I love every member of the Roxton family and HA fits right in with his stubbornness in obtaining all things (and people) he loves. Ms. Lisa Crisp, the heroine in this story, is lovable and relatable. Their love story is one for the books and makes you want love at that level! Alex Wyndham continues to narrate the Roxton Series with impeccable acting and makes every character stand alone. I will recommend Satyr’s Son and the entire series to anyone who wants to take a dip int history and find grand love stories along the way.
School psychologists aren't supposed to write books about sex. Doing so would be considered "unethical" and "a fireable offense." Lucky for you, ethics was never my strong suit. After spending years trying to spice up my sex life, I gave up and took to my journal. Perhaps my gorgeous, cold, number-crunching husband simply wasn't capable of the kind of passion I'd come to expect.
This is hands down the funniest book ever. Read it right now. Fantastic narration too.
