This could have been so great and had the potential. But it was lacking the detail, explanation and description. This was more along the line of an abridged version - missing lots of chapters. There were too many unanswered questions such as, how and why did this happen and what was the thought process behind the characters actions. I guess I could describe it as trying to explain to your child everything that happened in a Rated X movie using age appropriate terms and descriptions. Don't get me wrong there were explicit parts so that is not what I am referring to but the important parts of the book. Really suprised Mike Charzuk produced it, everything he is involved with is normally a guaranteed 5 stars.

OMG, I cannot believe this is the author of Grim. This book was really horrible; and the long annoying pauses between chapters leads you to believe (each and everytime) something is wrong with the recording (sort of as if the book automatically paused). Uninteresting, could have skipped several chapters without noticing. I couldn't get past chapter 23 (even over several days of trying). Not to mention, there's no emotion in the narration, especially with Cassie's character (like reading a newspaper - the obituary portion). Seriously, save your money and try another of MK's books. If you are a 1st time listener of MK's books, DO NOT start with this one!

Dr. Tala Matapang thought the most challenging part about getting kidnapped by slavers from another planet would be escaping, not butting heads with the obstinate Star Guardian captain who rescued her. She’s been working in his sick bay, and it's refreshing not having to deal with the politics and bureaucracy she faced as a surgeon back home, but Captain Sagitta is as infuriating as he is handsome.

Being dragged through a mirror, naked and screaming, onto an extraterrestrial ship was bad. Finding out I had been sold to a huge alien male who looks like the devil was worse. But learning he wanted to trade me to an intergalactic petting zoo was the worst of all! Now I'm whizzing through the galaxy with a robot butler, a trio of nib-nibs (they're like tiny green monkeys), and one huge, muscular, and very grumpy alien.

OMG, this bitch is the worst example of a female. (I'm totally emotional, I never swear during reviews). Seriously, Zoe is the stupidest bitch ever (and I've purchased over 1,200 audio books). Really made me ashamed to be a woman; she was more of a child in her behaviors and thought processes than an adult female (and no, she was not young, she's well mature). Though, the author tried to make her appear to be strong and determined (which any child or animal can be and are.... strong and determined).
Examples: a creepy man is walking backwards with something in his hand.... what does she do? Why follow him of course (Her character's personality ruined a good book). You know who I am referring to, the character in the horror movie who hears a strange noise where noises shouldn't be... and she goes to look. Then, she sees something weird that moves in her periphery, what does she do? You've guessed it, she goes closer to take a look see. Next, she sees a strange man (a man she deemed creepy) and walks up to him volunteering information, and let's him lead her down a dark alley.
I just can't. What pissed me off even more than these, examples (there are much much more examples of her dumb ass), is that the book was really good had it not been for this embarrassment of a female. The book's really funny, sizzlingly hot, adventurous, interesting, and addicting. If you can get past this dumb bitch, you will love it. Her ridiculous behavior and thought processes caused the book to lose 2 stars.

I am totally hooked! I absolutely love the book and the narrator. However, there are a few ridiculous parts, like being attracted to someone with horns, a tail, and "weird" junk..... Sounds like bestiality... but OK (Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good). Therefore, you have to make an effort to overlook that piece of info. My other complaint, is I wish it had at least 2 more hours in length; five hours is just not enough. I've never wasted my credit on a book that is less than seven hours. I also refuse to purchase any series until book 2 has been released, especially those cliff hanging bastards (I cannot stand the wait; therefore, I rely heavily on reviews to warn me off) . That said, this book is really really good and an addicting read. Well worth the credit.

As usual, these 2 narrators 'make' the book. In other words, Andi Arndt and S. York, can make shit smell good. This book was not spectacular; it seems it skipped thru parts that should have been described in detail (more along the lines of skimming) . I would say just a tad lacking and predictable. But, thanks to the narrators, you have to pay close attention in order catch these short falls. Predictability: Hero and Heroine starts their relationship with with an understanding of no strings attached; one or both are 'damaged or heart broken, ' they slit for a while but in the end, they discover they love each other.... same 'ole' story. Overall, OK and enjoyable

The darkness never truly left me. It's always there, waiting for the right moment to strike. It's been months since I ran away from the nightmare that was slowly killing me. I ran for my life, straight into the arms of a man who I thought would be worse than the nightmare I'd left behind. Little did I know he'd become my savior. It's been all romance since the beginning of the book and bits of references of Aleseo and his ppl being the mafia. There should be a mixture of romance and mafia; with mafia being the primary focus; still waiting. Recommend working with A. Zavarelli on how Mafia books are supposed to be written; HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I want my credit back. I can't finish

Totally loved the book. I have to say I was very surprised at how awesome it was; because most of the books I've listened to in the Romance Packet didn't exceed 3 stars (I mean none and I've listened to lots of books in the Romance Packet. This book has about 12 chapters of suspense (and I hate suspense because the anxiety just kills me), sex, the expected biker wars, top notch narration, etc (except not much laughs). Seriously, listen to this one, you won't regret it. I only wish it had all the series on audio book.
