When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer's block as she's beginning the final installment of her international best-selling erotic Bed 'n Breakfast series, she'll do pretty much anything to get her groove back. Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee - smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot. She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees-only entrance. But she's way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

OMG...the narrators! Erin Mallon is one of my favorite female narrators out there. She really has a kick for bringing the characters to life with her storytelling. I've listened to narrations by Teddy Hamilton before but this one really has put him on my radar. His voice was so yummy. These two were perfect voices for Kate and Miles. While I enjoyed reading the book immensely, I think I enjoyed the audiobook more because of the spot-on narration.
Two words describe this book. Well, I could use more but two words popped in my head while reading Wait With Me. Sexy and Funny.
Sexy is what you get when you cross paths with a HOT mechanic and a romance novelist. Funny is what you always get from Amy Daws. Her signature humor is stamped all over her latest work. Miles and Kate's banter had me laughing out loud and invariably kept a smile on my face while reading.
I followed Amy's FB/IG posts about her Tires, Tires, Tires adventure so to see this as a product of her not-so-traditional "writing cave", is great. I've been following Amy for a few years. I've read practically all of her work. I've loved it all. This book was a little different though. I feel as if we (her fans) have participated in her writing process more with this book than any other because of the fact it was born of her real life experience at a tire shop. We got to be witness to her sneaking into the waiting area, bringing in cars (family and friends) days in a row for maintenance and it just felt a little more personal all around. Heck, I even found myself in a similar situation where I ended up spending a couple of hours at a local furniture place trying out a new sofa with my kindle in hand. Thus getting lost in a book and losing track of time.
Amy Daws is one of my absolute favorite authors. I'm always up for more of her work and look forward to getting Gareth Harris' story soon.
As a chief stewardess on luxury superyachts, I massage egos, pamper the spoiled, and cater to the most outlandish desires of the rich and famous. I've never had a guest want something I can't give them. Until British businessman Hayden Wolf comes aboard - all sexy swagger and mysterious requests. But guests are strictly off limits and I've never broken a rule. Not even bent one. My family are depending on me and I can't lose my job. Only problem is Hayden Wolf is looking at me like I just changed his life. And he's touching me like he's about to change mine.

I started out reading this then switched to the audiobook when I saw that my preorder was live. OHHHH...Shane East's accent. *Sigh* I could listen to him all day. And Erin Mallon's narration was spot on as always. This was a great dual narration! I was very entertained whilst doing all these mundane house chores.
I thought the story started out slow but it picked up. While it was a bit on the predictable side, I still hung on because I was invested in the overall story of Hayden and Avery. I really liked both these characters and often found myself dismissing the predictability.
Overall, another great story from Louise Bay!

Tanner's acting career had just begun. He was hotter than the stage lights and twice as captivating. The gorgeous Australian A-lister was everyone's teenage dream. And he'd picked me. Or so I thought, until he proved to be as false as everything else about Hollywood. Now I've finally scored the perfect opportunity to star in a major film. The kicker? Tanner will be my costar. I don't know if I can do this one more time....

Gah, I'm such a bookwhore! When this released on audible back in January, I snatched it up because it was available through the Romance Package. I was so excited to see a Laurelin Paige book on there and of course was all over that. Then fast forward a few months and a ton of books later and I come across a sign up for One More Time. Well, my Book Alzheimer's was in full force because I didn't remember listening to this. Imagine my surprise when as I'm reading, I keep thinking to myself that this book seems so similar. Well, duh. *SMH* I feel so dumb. And to top it all off, this isn't the first Laurelin Paige novel that I've done this with. I did it with Take Two and Star Struck and it just not her books that I do it with either. #BookWhoreProblems
I adored this story the first time I listened to it and I adored it even more the second reading. I actually listened to it again as I read along because in my notes for the audiobook, there was a note about Rupert Channing's narration. The accent! Gah! I could listen to it all day. Erin Mallon was great as always.
Tanner and Jenner's story was a great journey. While it was on the lighter side of LP's writing spectrum, it was sweet, funny, and oh so hot!
Once, I was nothing. Hungry, abandoned, wandering, and alone. An adolescent street rat fighting for crumbs. Then a chance encounter changed my entire world. A man in an expensive suit asked me how much my life was worth. I didn't have an answer because I didn't know. He asked if I thought it was worth killing for. Impulsively, I said yes.... He found me, then fostered me, and, in the interim, turned me into a killing machine.

This has been sitting in my Audible Library for some time. It actually got lost in the 400+ audiobooks. I know, I know. #BookWhoreProblems
I came across it scrolling through my library looking for something to listen to. I remembered I really wanted to read the book. So I started it right away forgetting about the other books in my library.
This was a crazy listen. The ups and downs. The twists and turns. That ending! Gah! I'm kicking myself for losing track of this book and not listening sooner.
I love Muffy's narration. She is one of my all-time faves. Jacob Morgan was great. I wish we could have gotten more of him but I'm just being greedy.
Given his well-earned bad boy reputation, Eric is having a tough time scoring. When single Jean moves to town, she seems heaven-sent by the sex gods. Only problem is, she not only wants nothing to do with him, but it turns out that she’s pregnant. Starting over in a small town, Jean is determined to turn her wild lifestyle around and be the kind of mother she always wished she’d had. When she goes into labor during a snow storm and her car slides on some ice, it’s Eric who comes to the rescue.

For me, Kylie Scott is one of those authors that just sneaks up on you. While she is a favorite of mine, I admittedly don't follow her too closely. I know, I know. It's just that with all the authors out there, sometimes some just fall back and get lost amongst the fray of the over advertised and highly promoted authors. Not that Ms. Scott isn't promoted well. It's just I don't always see her promotions. Then out of the blue I see a sign up for the release of Chaser. I'm so glad I didn't miss it because I loved the previous two books. Actually, I've liked everything I've read by her and vow to be more diligent in stalking, I mean following Kylie in the future.
Eric intrigued as well as annoyed me in Twist. He came off so douchey. Kylie totally had her work cut out for her turning his character around in my eyes. Boy, did she ever. I don't know what it was exactly but his interactions with Ada totally melted my heart. I was a goner.
Jean was harder to read. It was hard to connect with her since we don't get her POV. I liked her well enough. I just never felt a connection with her.
This was a great read that was low on drama but high on the sweetness factor.
The Acquisition has ruled my life, ruled my every waking moment since Sinclair Vinemont first showed up at my house offering an infernal bargain to save my father's life. Now I know the stakes. The charade is at an end, and Sinclair has far more to lose than I ever did. But this knowledge hasn't strengthened me. Instead, each revelation breaks me down until nothing is left but my fight and my rage. As I struggle to survive, only one question remains. How far will I go to save those I love and burn the Acquisition to the ground?

This series! OMG, this series! I've only read one other series that was similar to this one. It was Pepper Winters' Debt Inheritance series. While it was similar, this book was also so different and had a uniqueness about it.
I'm happy with the way things played out. For a bit there, I wasn't sure how things would go. You can bet I ignore the outside world pretty much until the end. I totally was sporting my shirt and using my coffee mug that read "I love the sound you make when you shut up and let me listen to my book". Anytime someone tried to interrupt my listening, I just pointed to my shirt. There was nothing going to get between me and getting the rest of Sin and Stella's story.
Another great narration!
Lucius Vinemont has spirited me away to a world of sugarcane and sun. There is nothing he cannot give me on his lavish Cuban plantation. Each gift seduces me; each touch seals my fate. There is no more talk of depraved competitions or his older brother - the one who'd stolen me, claimed me, and made me feel things I never should have. Even as Lucius works to make me forget Sinclair, my thoughts stray back to him, to the dark blue eyes that haunt my sweetest dreams and bitterest nightmares.
5 Crazy Ass Must Listen Stars!!!!!
So I'm binge listening to this series and I'm so glad that every book is out because I don't think I would have been able to handle the anticipation. Heck, I can't handle the anticipation of the few minutes it's taking to writing this review before I start the final book. Seriously, I can't stand it. I need to know what happens. My head is all kinds of spinning out of control. I need answers. I need to know what Sin is going to do. I need to know what Lucius is going to do. And of course, what happens with Stella and the rest of the trials.
Again, loved the great narration.
In the heart of Louisiana, the most powerful people in the South live behind elegant gates, mossy trees, and pleasant masks. Once every 10 years, the pretense falls away and a tournament is held to determine who will rule them. The Acquisition is a crucible for the Southern nobility, a love letter written to a time when barbarism was enshrined as law. Now, Sinclair Vinemont is in the running to claim the prize. There is only one way to win, and he has the key to do it - Stella Rousseau, his Acquisition.

Where does Celia Aaron come up with this stuff? How I would love to be able to just be a fly on the wall while she plots out her stories.
The storyline was something I've never come across or would have ever thought of. It just makes me wonder. I loved it though. I love a good dark romance that leaves me thinking and this one has my head all kinds of spinning.
The narrators are basically new-to-me. I've only ever listened to one book narrated by Stephen and going back to my review of that book, I had said that I enjoyed his narrations. It is true now just as then. Both his and Robyn Verne's narration were great. The had me escaping into this crazy story of acquisitions, trials and secrets so easily and without distraction.
I need the next book now.
The conclusion to the epic romance begun in Dirty Filthy Rich Men.
5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
Loved it flaws and all! I have to let my review marinate for a bit so I will be back with an update soon.
My head is still spinning. Donovan is my number two Laurelin Paige BFF behind Hudson - it's gonna take a lot to knock him off his number one spot. Seriously, though, how is that Laurelin writes these guys that do these despicable things, crazy, stalkerish things but we always end up falling for them? I tell you it's all about those damn flaws. Flaws that just make you want to jump into your kindle and hold his head right your bosom, stroke his hair, and profess your undying love despite it all. Was that a little overboard? Heck no! That's just how I feel after reading this and it's been almost ten days since I read it. I may just have to re-read this one. No better yet, I'll be using my monthly audible credits when this releases on audio. I'll just have to get both audiobooks!
Update #2 (Audio):
Elena Wolfe slayed the narration. I just love her voice. And then throw in the SebYo at the end and I was just a puddle of goo.
At 29, Piper Daniels is having the longest dry spell of her life. When she agrees to be set up on a blind date, she never expects it to end with the hottest sex of her life. But when she discovers that her very well-endowed secret lover is also her new boss, heartless womanizer and cutthroat CEO Jackson Dane, she chalks it up to a one-time mistake and puts up her best professional front. But Jackson isn't used to rejection, and if Piper thinks it's going to be easy to move on from their tryst, she's underestimated his determination.
Quick, fun, sexy listen! I just love Kendall Ryan. Her stories are always so entertaining. And throw in the forbidden storyline of boss/employee and I was all over that. There was even a twist that I did not see coming.
Piper and Jackson's chemistry was off the charts and damn, were those scenes scorching. That mouth on Jackson. Talk about fanning myself. This was HOT!
Josh Goodman and Andi Arnt did a great job with the narration. I love their voices and could listen to the two of them all day. Kinda wished the book was just a little longer.
I love these "Misadventures" stories and Kendall Ryan added a great addition to this series.
