In My Stroke of Insight, Taylor shares her unique perspective on the brain and its capacity for recovery, and the sense of omniscient understanding she gained from this unusual and inspiring voyage out of the abyss of a wounded brain. It would take eight years for Taylor to heal completely. Because of her knowledge of how the brain works, her respect for the cells composing her human form, and most of all an amazing mother, Taylor completely repaired her mind and recalibrated her understanding of the world.

This person's experience confirmed a lot of ideas I had in my mind, resulting both from experience working in the health field and f4om life. The author is very intuitive; whenever a question or a need for clarification was forming in my mind, the needed information came from her two minutes or less later. I loved it! I feel I'm a better person, in control of my emotions and my thoughts, and a better health care privider after listening to this book.

This is the book you want to keep with you at all times: the full text of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, the two documents that are the backbone of United States government. Hearing them as they were written is a must for every American. Regular listening is required for any historian or member of the legal profession, and a good idea for all Americans.

As a source of history it was very i nteresting. It was also very informative about the subject matter, but it was too long and redundant...it almost seemed as if there was nothing else to be written, say, after chapter 11, and the rest was tiny pieces of information mixed with tons of personal opinions...I finished it though, but...meh!

In this lucid explanation of perennial philosophy, Arthur Versluis reveals this tradition - so often described as esoteric and inaccessible - to be closer to our interests and experience than many of us have realized. Versluis has distilled an immense amount of scholarship into this small volume, but its brevity is deceiving. Like the culmination to any alchemical work, Perennial Philosophy is a powerful tincture that - once imbibed - transports receptive listeners to a world in which they are part of a spiritual hierarchy that links heaven to earth.

The core of the book, the real four agreements are wondenful, very common-sensed, totally dooable, but...there are a couple things I didn't precisely enjoyed: too many negative expressions implying that "everybody" want to hurt us, and that "everything" we have been taught in our process of "domestication" is bad...overall the message is good.
