The narrator sounded like he was a thousand years old. The story was also so strange I had a hard time getting through it.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

It was to preachy.

Would you ever listen to anything by Kevin Hearne again?

Sure I like the main story line.

What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?

Always a good performance.

Any additional comments?

The short stories just aren't as engaging as what I'm used to.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Eric Summerer?

The author wasn't bad but he kept making swallowing noises the whole time. It was very...off putting.

Many do not survive. Lerris chooses the dangergeld.

What would have made The Magic of Recluce better?

The other would describe an action and then use an onomatopeia to represent the sound. It was childish and incredibly annoying.

What did you like best about this story?

The story line was pretty good.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was just relieved to be done with it.

But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork.
