Don't listen to the 'Karen' reviews.
Ppl who should just be reading Nicolas Sparks books shouldn't be reading dark romance. No, I'm not into HS bully romance, however I prepared myself and dove into the Trilogy. I adjusted to the narration, girl is fine... Troy is always hot, but didn't sound 17... but an easy assimilation. I couldn't put it down for 3 days. the middle got a little slow, but got through it. You go from hating Caleb to the opposite as it flies by. Worth the credits.

I could not stop listening BUT everything Marlo did, got on my nerves. And I mean everything! What she said and everything she done made me just want to punch her! Male was arrant and didn't deserve her attention. Make him beg! geezzee...all that said and I still finished. loved the story

Plenty of Intrigue
Although this is classified as teen/young adult that is not the real behavior of these characters, yes they were in high school but nothing about them was like any high schoolers I ever known, that would include the narration as they sounded like adults, behaved like adults etc.. But the books were intriguing and I am glad this was a trilogy box set because books 1 and 2 ended in cliffhangers. Didn't see the ending coming which made it even better.

The Plot Twists are amazing
I loved this series, but i really loved it as a audiobook. The narrators did a great job and their voices do not get on your nerves. The dual POVs really make it. The plot twists in this series are never ending and some you actually do not see coming. I could pick out a few and the ones I thought they were leading to ending up wrong so that was a plus. I really like when I am wrong and can be surprised by a suspense. I did not go into this book thinking it was a book with suspense. I went in this book blind just thinking it was another bully high school romance so I was pleasantly surprised. It was different than the others which broke the monotony of this genre. I give it a 4.5 stars. I did not give it a full five as it just did not give me that " i have to read this again" and the "oh my God i just can't stop thinking about it" vibes. However, while listening to it, I did find myself going "dang it I have to stop now.... So all in all, I really liked it and recommend it.
