Publisher's summary

Three sinfully handsome dukes, three scores to settle, three hearts about to meet their matches. All in one thrilling new trilogy from New York Times best-selling author Madeline Hunter.

Notorious nobleman seeks revenge

Name and title: Adam Penrose, Duke of Stratton. Affiliation: London's elite Society of Decadent Dukes. Family history: Scandalous. Personality traits: Dark and brooding, with a thirst for revenge. Ideal romantic partner: a woman of means, with beauty and brains, willing to live with reckless abandon. Desire: Clara Cheswick, gorgeous daughter of his family's sworn enemy.

Faint of heart need not apply

Clara may be the woman Adam wants, but there's one problem: She's far more interested in publishing her women's journal than getting married - especially to a man said to be dead-set on vengeance. Though with her nose for a story, Clara wonders if his desire for justice is sincere - along with his incredibly unnerving intention to be her husband. If her weak-kneed response to his kiss is any indication, falling for Adam clearly comes with a cost. But who knew courting danger could be such exhilarating fun?

Dangerous Dukes....

Duke #1 has his tale revealed in this first book of a new trilogy. I found it well written, attention grabbing and entertaining. The narration was excellent and the heat quite hot!!!! All in all a good book I will listen to again.

Clara’s insistence on not marrying.I loved everything

I loved every part of this engaging and enthralling story. The narration was superb which can make or break an Audible listening.

Weak Storyline But....

I couldn't finish this novel, mainly due lackluster narration. After 3 hours, the plot began to emerge, but I decided to quit. At the pace the storyline was developing, I decided that it would be sheer torture to continue.

Enjoyable

Totally enjoyable story. I liked the premise and how it ended up. The narrator was good but I would have liked to hear more of a distinction between the female and male characters

good story

the narration wasn't that good. it was hard to keep track of who was talking and when which made the story harder to follow. other than that I quite enjoyed the book it was well written enough to keep me interested and not wanting to skip any chapters.

Good book but

I loved the story, but the problem was that the performance was lacking. I had a hard time understanding the reader. Sad because the author is one of my favorite writers.

Loved this story

I love a good enemies to lovers trope. This the first book I’ve listened to by this author, and look forward to the rest of this series.
Rosalyn Landor is my favorite narrator, so
this performance was lacking for me.

Good story well narrated

Well, I was expecting to really hate the narrator, but I didn’t at all. She didn’t even make my Do Not Buy list. The story is good, well written. I have’t read too many by this author, but I liked the complexity of the mystery and felt the heart break involved in sorting it out. There were several interesting female characters and I know we will meet the other two Dukes in the next two books. I’m looking forward to it.

Two Independent Souls Find Love

This is an enjoyable, light romp between two Independent people who never intended for their hearts to get involved but, like most romances, the heart wins in the end. I loved Charlotte Gray's narration as well! There is a surprise ending you won't see coming!
