A very fun read!

Free Fire is the best of the three Joe Pickett novels I've "read" so far. The plot is complex, yet not convoluted. The characters act believably. Most of all, it's a fun read.

A great story. Joe Pickett for President!

Box has woven together a story of deception and avarice in the majestic Yellowstone park. I felt like I was there with Joe and Nate trying to solve this mystery. Way to go Joe!

As always, CJ Box delivers a Winner!

Of course now I have to immediately start the next book. Joe Picket series is addictive, but thankfully, not damaging to my liver or lungs!😜.

Yellowstone Park can’t wait to get there

What a great adventure I felt like I was there makes me curious about all the behind-the-scenes of places that the public isn’t allowed to go because people are so ignorant Love. This story has to be one of my favorites, like all the rest

Good writer.

This was suspenseful, good writing, and excellent research. No explicit sex scenes. Bad language and violence were minimal.

Great story with a few unforeseen twists

I really enjoyed this story. I thought that the discussion and explanation of the basis for the lawless area in Wyoming was particularly well done and clear. As an attorney I was aware of the lawless and prepared by reading the law review article which brought this legal anomaly to light. One minor niggle I have is that the author, when describing the scene of hunters and developing and his character as an expert revealed the author's own ignorance of big game hunting methods. This did not detract from the story in any way. I've already recommended this book to a few friends. Well done!!
