Younger man/older woman and virgin hero! LOVED!

Down and Dirty is the fifth installment in Kendall Ryan’s ‘Hot Jocks’ series and can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I’ve only read the first book and I wasn’t lost at all. If you’re a fan of the younger man/older woman troupe, a quickie Vegas wedding and a male virgin, this is the book for you!

Landon is the rookie on the Seattle Ice Hawks team and he’s notoriously single. He’s never found the right girl and hasn’t settled for the wrong one. He’s got it bad for Aubree, who is 7 years older than him and works for the hockey league’s charity. One night in Vegas leads to a marriage between the two. And though Aubree is quick to want to get it annulled, Landon wants to see if things could work between the two…

Landon is one of my favorite heroes Kendall Ryan has ever written. I loved him to pieces. I liked Aubree, too, I just wish she would have been more upfront and honest and saved them both a lot of miscommunication and heartache. I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder. Both did an amazing job voicing these characters. They’re always a pleasure to listen to.

This was an easy to read romance that made my heart happy. Sometimes we need something light, sexy, and fun- this fit that perfectly. I love that about Ryan’s books. I’m so excited for the next book in this series, which will be Anna and Grant’s.

Glad I Kept Listening

I’ve listened consecutively to each book in this series and thought Justin and Elise’s story was and would continue to be my favorite—enter swoon-worthy Landon Covington. Seriously…he’s the irresistibly, tender-hearted hero that you need, who’ll send your imagination into overdrive and make you go all giddy.

Jacob Morgan’s wonderfully alluring voice really does it for me in this one and perfectly captures Landon’s endearing, yet alpha, personality. Conversely, from the beginning, Emma Wilder’s voice turned me off of Aubrey’s character through out most of the book, only slightly recovering in the end. Her voice seemed too mature and not as carefully matched for the character of Aubrey. In saying this, it was still worth continuing and I’m happy I did keep listening, as this book in the series has become my favorite!

While Down and Dirty can be read as a stand alone book, I feel that already “knowing” the other characters really added something to the story that a listener/reader would not otherwise get without having read the first few titles in this series. Either way, I totally recommend listening or reading!

I mean who doesn’t love a hot virgin hockey player and a quickie Vegas wedding. As in Jacob Morgan’s voice that is literally all you need in life. I’m really happy that the whole younger guy thing didn’t get over played. I was worried we might have a Jessica from Love is Blind situation. It was handled so well in this I loved Aubrey she was such a strong independent fierce woman who eventually handled her virgin like a pro. The chemistry was on fire. I loved the friend group. It made the story so much more fun. I won this audio and am so happy I got to enjoy it.

Glad I purchased

I was unsure about this book based on other people's reviews. People didn't like the heroine and I will admit that early on I wasn't fond of her, but she grew on me and ultimately she just was trying to figure it all out. I really enjoyed the book!

Love all of this series. Great stories definitely one of my favorite. BUT why does it's say it's Jacob Morgan when it's Zachary Webber? dk love them both though.

Landon and Aubrey

I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. The vegas wedding priceless . The fact that there friends were all in on it even better .
I loved that Landon was a real sweetheart and he honestly put himself out there. I thought the age difference was kind of silly because it was only 7 years not 15-20 I get she was older but still. I liked her but there were a lot of times I was very frustrated with her.
I really liked Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder they did a great job. I can not wait for the next book to come out!!!

I liked the storyline for Landon and Aubrey (woke up married after a night of heavy drinking) but I didn’t like her very much. She treated her new husband poorly. I think Landon should have annulled their marriage and moved on, especially after she called him an idiot for buying her a new vehicle. Still enjoying the appearance of supporting characters from previous books.

Brilliant!!!

I love Jacobs voice and this is my first time listening to Emma narrate. What I loved aboout this audio was the way they brought Landon and Aubree to life.
I could have just listened to this audio forever. It was that good. I am sure a re listen will be in my future.
This book is incredibly entertaiing, with witty banter and characters you just want to be friends with. Its just too bad they are fictional because hello......annoying right??
Needless to say this is one of the best audiobooks I have listened to date and cant wait to listen to more books Jacob and Emma narrate!!
