Riveting, Realistic and Shockingly Plausible
Well written and fast paced. It’s obvious this whole book is spun from real world experience.
The characters feel authentic. The locations are described from the POV of people who have “been there”.
Black Autumn is great storytelling from the perspective of writers who understand the fragility of what we think of as “civilization” and the true challenges we face in its absence.

Great story
I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the story and how it wasn’t entirely linear, but had some curves and depth. Th characters were relatable and not over done. However, I felt the narrator didn’t give the story justice in conveying emotion. I do wonder if the characters in the book (even though their names are real and their backgrounds are real) are like the story characters in real life. In the end I especially enjoyed the tidbit from the roving apocalyptic drunken radio show host.

One of the best prepper books yet
I've read most of the classics, One Second After, Lucifer's Hammer, Going Home, 299 Days, and more... this is one of the better ones. No huge world wide event like a comet landing in the ocean, no nation wide EMP... just a dirty bomb thousands of miles away and a little sailboat take down society as we know it. How fragile we are and yet we fail to see it.
This book, if nothing else, points out our fragility.
