Riveting story
I only heard about this book 2 days ago and I'm already hooked to the series. It's not an entirely original idea, but the story telling was so good, I had to keep listening to hear what would happen next. I also loved the reader and, of course, his ability to voice the various characters was top notch. I'll definitely be back for the rest of the series.

Great story and great narration!
I loved this book! Will definitely listen to the whole series! The narration was superb! Each character had their own voice and there was no confusion as to who was talking. One of the characters, a mentor to the protagonist, sounded just like Sean Connery! I hope Mr. Degas will narrate all of Mr. Hastie's books! The story line is great and we're left with a cliffhanger at the end. So, having just finished this book, I'm off to download the 2nd in the series.

Time travel sort of meets Harry Potter
Loved this. Great, well fleshed out characters, interesting plot and a well detailed and consistent enhanced reality. Add time travel - an unusual spin on it too - and all this book needed for perfection from my pov was a bit of “spontaneous human combustion”.
