Publisher's summary

The well-known and acclaimed work of Dr. Joseph Lumpkin has been enlarged to include new research on the Books of Enoch, Fallen Angels, the Watchers, and the Nephilim. After presenting extensive historical backgrounds and brilliant translations of The First, Second, and Third Books of Enoch, Lumpkin takes time to piece together a historical narrative of Fallen Angels, the Watcher, and the Nephilim, using his extensive knowledge of ancient texts.

The history of the fallen angels is sewn tightly together using such books as Enoch, Jasher, Jubilees, The Book of Giants, The War Scrolls, and many others. The story will astonish you.

New information on the First Book of Enoch is greatly expanded. Lumpkin describes the calendar of Enoch and its pivotal place in the prophecy of Daniel. He takes First Enoch apart, section by section, to describe its history, the time frame of authorship, and its contents. Copious notes are included throughout.

This volume, containing The First Book of Enoch (The Ethiopic Book of Enoch), The Second Book of Enoch (The Slavonic Secrets of Enoch), The Third Book of Enoch (The Hebrew Book of Enoch), and The Book of Fallen Angels, The Watchers, and the Origins of Evil. Expanded commentary is included for the three Books of Enoch, as well as the sections on angels, prophecies, and the Enochian calendar. These sources are found here, all in a single source.

Dr. Joseph Lumpkin is the CEO of Fifth Estate Publishers and the author of over 20 books. He appears regularly on LA talk radio and the show Rain Making Time as an expert guest on the subjects of religion, theology, and church history.

Book of Enoch and others mentioned in the Bible

Enjoyed so much I have listened twice to all the books and probably will a third time. Much that is presented helps shed light of much that is written in the Bible. Very hard to turn off in order to sleep. Worth downloading if you also study the Bible.

Strayed from my usual picks

Interesting book. I feel it could have been helpful to have 2 narrators to distinguish readings between different texts but as soon as I realized the flow, it was easier to keep up.

Spoken Captivation

From the opening, unlike any other Enoch sources, captivates from the get go. A must listen!

Amazing!

Joseph Lumpkin has compiled very detailed yet easy to follow information he’s gathered to give a more complete story. The narrator Dennis Logan reads this story like he wrote it. I wish all of Joseph Lumpkins stories were read by Dennis Logan just because it’s a great pair! 6 out of 5

Narration is annoying

The narrator needs to work on his narration skills. He affects his voice so that it sounds much lower than it is, it makes me uncomfortable to listen to him. Additionally, he over affects all scripture references to unnecessarily sound pretentious. He and mispronounces many words, failing to read some words correctly altogether, for example he read the number 3600 as 36,000, and never once correctly pronounced uncleanness, he pronounces it with a short /e/ sound as in pet, rather than the long /e/. The book itself is very good, Dr. Lumpkin has thoughtfully put together scripture references to the writings, but I prefer to read this one than listen to it.

Special Effects!!!

Nothing at all against Dennis Logan whatsoever, but the special effects used in my opinion took away from the overall spirit of the book. I thoroughly thought the info itself was very informative and well put together. Kudos to Mr. Lumpkin on how he researched and organized the text. A definite must read.

A Great Narration!

I am so glad I ignored the bad reviews for this selection. I the narration style of this audible book. I have several hundred books under my belt as a charter audible member. Yes there are some audio effects here. But it's only for enhancement and a guide for who's words are being repeated...but I guess that was above the iq of the haters of this audio book. Bravo Mr Logan on your performance! I look forward to more ! 👍

Enoch Revealed

Great narration and background explanation. Though this complete story is not fully in the Bible... God Himself explains!

the echo is painful and disrespectful

the commentary is aimed at a religious rather than academic audience, but whatever. the real problem is the unforgettable echo effects on the voice. these are narratives about holy judgement and fallen angels. it really doesn't need cheap effects to sound dramatic
