Everything I love in a Contemporary Romance Book!!
What a Yummy book! This book has love, strength, drama, violence and sex. The perfect mixture for me. I loved the characters! Elizabeth is a damaged g..Show More »irl with amazing strength but a misguided idea of how to deal with her past. Declan is an underground fighter with a great heart, a protective side and British accent! I love how they deal with their issued and find what they need. The love story is sweet, the sex is hot, the drama not extreme and the ending was perfect. I knew the minute they talked about Pride & Prejudice that I would love this book <3 I very much enjoyed the authors writing style and I know the book would have been great in print but I am so glad I waited for audio, I think the narrators were a perfect fit.
I would definitely recommended this book to Contemporary Romance Readers!
This was an captivating second chance love story, filled with lots of drama, angst, heartbreak, passion, ..Show More »heat, and love. While I felt the story had a slow start, it definitely picked up, and had a few heart crushing moments, that had me hooked and hanging on each word waiting to see how these two would finally come together. A well written complex plot with lots of emotions and characters who had depth.

This is the first story I've heard narrated by Kitty Bang and Paul Berton. They both did a great job, but Kitty's performance sounded a little more polished. Paul had a great accent, and I liked how he narrated the male characters but his female characters had me laughing. While I found the female voices funny at times, it really didn't take away for the story, and overall I enjoyed the audio.
This is the second book in the series, but could easily be listened too as a stand alone. Well worth the time and credit. (An awesome deal for those who have KU membership.)
