Although, I prefer my romance sans horribly sadistic psycho-killer torture chambers,I liked 'Scream for me' very much. This was largely because of the..Show More » very compeling hero who falls in love with a movingly troubled woman. Die for me only has the torture chambers. (In spades! If you like those, you won't go hungry.)
But! The protagonists are unappealing and their union manages to be both bizarre and dull. And, although Tavia is an excellent narrator, she doesn't really do either French or Italian and her perfomance is flat.
Maybe she was just as bored as I was. I can't care enough about any of it to finish.
This book I tell you was AWESOME!!! This was, but will not be my last listen to Karen Rose. I could not stop. I went as far as to download it to my..Show More » Ipod and my work computer. I highly recommend this book.
Why did you let the reader ruin, maybe, a good, even a great book by putting on such a stupid accent for the male lead? It not only ruined the book, i..Show More »t completed grated on my nerves! I usually have no issues finish all the audio books I buy, but every time I heard Luke I wanted to throw my player across the room. The lead lady wasnt likable at all, but that usually isn't a problem, you can get through a book if you don't connect with the lead characters, but not a annoyingly, stupid accent.
I only finished this book because I purchased it in a 3 books for 2 credits promotion, and since this was the third book I chose, I wanted my $ worth,..Show More » and well.... I hate to be a quitter.
We all know, you often get what you pay for.
As others have mentioned, this reader is beyond horrible, her male voices are so funny sounding that it is difficult to focus on the poorly developed story line.
The "sexy, strong, romantic" leading man sounds just like Granny Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies. This is something I just could not get used to.
In addition, this storyline was weak like the characters, which were far too many in number to bother tracking.
This book was beyond horrible! Wait.... can I give it a 0 star rating instead?
