The narrator brings this story to life with a fabulous voice for Bridget that really enhances the self-deprecating humor. I have listened to it nearly..Show More » a dozen times in the two years since I bought it! It is laugh-out-loud funny, thanks to the witty author and the narrator's performance. I wish Audible would add an unabridged version of Bridget Jones' Diary by the same narrator. As for the storyline in The Edge of Reason, it is very, very different from the movie, so don't pass on this book just because you may have seen the film. If you liked either of the Bridget Jones movies, you will love this audio book.

The story is very similar to the first but without the freshness and surprise that the first story gave us. I generally felt that the author was attempting to make some easy money out of a stock type of story. The reader was ok but not wonderful.

I still cheered along, I still talked to myself as Bridget would....and I still hoped for her and Darcy's happy ending. Well done Mrs. Fielding
