The narration by Karen White was spot on, but my favorite part of the book was the relationship with Olivia and Haviland (her dog). All the times that..Show More » Olivia speaks to Haviland and narrates that way was a technique I loved. You really feel like they are a crime fighting due together, and you grow to love them both and cheer them on at each stop.
Absolutely. I am an avid cozy mystery listener, and this is hands down my new favorite series. I love the characters, I love how they are developed, a..Show More »nd I love how Karen White delivers a spectacular performance.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the characters in it. This is the third book in the series I've listened to and she has formed characters personal..Show More »ities so you want to know what happens with each one. Fantastic book! The narrator did an amazing job as well!
This might not be important to all readers, but it's worth noting for some. This book has a pretty intense graphic sex scene. It caught me off guard b..Show More »ecause I've listened to all the books & it came from out of nowhere. Cozy mysteries don't usually cross into that territory so it's just important to note. It's a rather lengthy scene with rather explicit and graphic language. As far as the story overall I found it intriguing & I love how the characters are evolving throughout this story. They each have their identities & Olivia continues to explore her past and learn more about who she is & where she comes from. It held my attention from start to finish!
This is a very good addition to a very entertaining series. The characters are interesting and continue to develop and grow. The mystery is well tho..Show More »ught out and complex. I look forward to the next book.
I have read all the books in this series so far. Since I get them from Audible it doesn't take long at all to go through them. I especially loved the ..Show More »ending in this one. I hope it doesn't mean that it's the end of the series. It could open up to so much more. I think the narrator speaks this series in such a way that she sounds like she comes from money and a sophisticated back ground. I like that Ellery Adams kept the same narrator. I find that Authors that change narrators through a series tend to lose something. Great read.
