I didn't understand Theresa for most of this book. In the first book she starts out attracted but not really interested because she is still in love w..Show More »ith her x who cheated on her and she isn't over him. Eventually her sexual attraction lets her explore her sexual interest in Antonio and suddenly she is in love with him. She is so prim she can't stand and won't use cuss words. She thinks Antonio does t give himself enough credit. Next thing you know she is calling him filth and garbage and telling him to hurt her using foul language left and right. Falling in love with someone doesn't turn you into the opposite of what and who you are. It's very irritating and made me dislike this portion of the story.
PHEWEEE and Wow - what a breathtaking conclusion to an awesome trilogy this was as it's packed full of high tension, jaw-dropping twists, heart-poundi..Show More »ng suspense and chills and thrills as the drama intensifies and the plot moves into the epic realm. Theresa and Antonio are still trying desperately to hold on to one another and both dream and make plans for a mythical future when Antonio can be free from the Mob and all that it's dictating he do to unite the two main families. They're eventually forced to take drastic steps to gain their freedom..... but Antonio isn't prepared to let Theresa walk away from all her family..... no matter what she says and so he tries to spare her heartbreak by making the ultimate sacrifice. However, Theresa has been through too much to just stand back and meekly watch.
Antonio and Theresa deeply love each other, are infatuated by one another and can't keep there greedy little paws off each other which makes for some very intense sex scenes as they both like to verbalize their cravings, their desires and their actions. There's heartbreaking news about Theresa's Brother and, in a very cleverly written twist, her earlier bloody and deadly actions may (indirectly) be the only hope of saving his life. There's an OMG What the ?!?! of a shocking twist as Antonio is reunited with faces from his past that could destroy the loving relationship that he and Theresa have fought so hard for. And, a deadly confrontation with a bitter and vicious enemy, leaves one of them critically wounded, one heartbroken, one scarred, one in Prison.... and both are devastated and lost.
Dual POV's and, once again, the narration was perfecto as Brian Pallino's smooth Italian accent added buckets of sex appeal to this listen.... but both narrators did an amazing job. However, CD Reiss has delivered an outstanding listen that has well loved characters and well described and well orchestrated scenes that you can easily mentally picture and visualize all the unfolding drama as each bountiful Chapter is skilfully revealed.
Worth a credit? I gleefully devoured all three books over one weekend and they were delicious, the plots built and built, the suspense mounted, the love story became more and more intense, there was character growth by a few of the cast and I loved....every....single....minute of it. So YEAH a creditworthy or $-worthy purchase.
