I was pleasantly surprised by the narration. Before I purchased the book, I read a review by a reader who was very disappointed that the accent had b..Show More »een dropped by the narrator in this book. I thought it was done exactly right. Rachel was born in America, so English was her first language, unlike the older Stanislaskis siblings. Just a great romance. Thanks Nora Roberts and Christina Traister.
This was a very enjoyable and fun book! It is the 4th book of the series, which I recommend - especially if you enjoy Nora Roberts. (Note: this serie..Show More »s is in the romance novel genre, which I only mention because she also writes romantic suspense / mystery novels, futuristic novels, fantasy and many other types of novels, novellas, etc.). I love the characters in this entire series and have been really enjoying their individual journeys.
After listening to several other books in this series being read by the narrator, I was pleasantly surprised that there was less use of the fake accen..Show More »ts, nasally and whiny voice that was used on other characters. It was like the narrator was finally getting the feel of the characters and letting them bleed through the reading.
