I bought this book on a whim when I ran out of things to read. It sounded kind of interesting and thought I'd give it a try. I started and dropped it ..Show More »a few times, never making it past the first chapter. Finally I decided to sit down and just listen for as long as I could. Next thing I knew I was deep into the story of Trollis.
This book has left me empty. It's one of those tales where afterwards, you feel so lost without it in your mind. Cecil and Tristan are characters with so much depth you can't help but love them. The story is well developed and the web of plots and subplots interlock together taking you for ride.
There really aren't enough words to describe how much I love this book. Definitely a must read for a bookworm.
I wanted to SCREAM at the characters for not figuring out the "plot twist" when I did. Seriously frustrating when you figure out what's going on half ..Show More »way thru the book and everyone else is clueless. With all that being said... I still do enjoy this story. Like with a lot of second books this one was a bit slow and felt like a really big build up for book 3. I will definitely be reading that when it comes out:)
Bought this series expecting mild interest. And couldn't stop listening. Excellent story, interesting characters brought to life by narrators who made..Show More » each and every character uniqueness in recognition of their voices. Listened every chance I got and slipped in extra time when possible. Loved loved loved this series.
