Pleasantly surprised. Discovered that faerie reads can be nice. Generally I dont go for theme because they are too high fantasy for me, but this w..Show More »as a perfect balance. Vi, did some fast growing up. I felt bad for her and I got quiet at my desk when Ryn broke down and told how he felt . The battles and action seemed very crime show cop/detective inspired but i like that. Rachel did the best job descripting the Faerien world m which is normally my sticking point on these type of novels. She handled that task with flying colors. Great read and i will be picking up number 2 tomorrow .
The Faery Guardian was a great conclusion to an already awesome series. The series as a whole was well paced and original with three dimensional chara..Show More »cters. And this book was no different. It was a little painful watching Ryn and Violet interacting since she didn't have her memory. But I love it all anyway. I liked watching her grow, and wondering how the new, greatly matured girl would reconcile with her former self. The losses were sad: the death, the Destruction. But, because of the loss, and the common enemy, it brought the fae real together. Overall, great book, with a good ending :-) go read it (but make sure you read the first two first).
For the most part, I wasn't as enamored with this book as I was with the previous three. I knew that it would no longer be violets story, and I was..Show More » disappointed. If I weren't thinking of this book's predecessors, I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more. Calla is a good heroin, strong-willed and semi relatable (as relatable as a faerie with Griffin powers can be :-) All of the new characters or three-dimensional, and I enjoyed the return of our old favorites. But as for the story itself, it didn't suck me in as the others did. I can't pinpoint what it was… The pacing was fine, and the events are interesting. But... But the ending... Just one word has me excited to get started on the next one. Maybe it will pick up. But even if it doesn't, I have to see how this plays out.
As with the first 3 books in this series, "A Faerie's Revenge" is action packed. This story has a twist to it that I didn't see coming! With plenty ..Show More »of magic to keep any sci-fi fantasy enthusiasts turning pages,( or in this case listening, yea I got the audible version so I could keep the story going in my car!) Rachel Morgan's style of writing is fun, fast paced, action happening and as always a bit romantic. I'm sure there are other adjectives for each person to add after this or any of her books! What can I say...you won't be disappointed when Rachel is writing! Now I'm going to go and read the next book in the series! :)
