Well... I wasn't expecting that. The way this book started... I was so close to hitting the delete button on my Kindle. But I stuck with it and boy I ..Show More »was soooo glad I did. Right around chapter 4ish the book really picks up... but it was after party and Razer F* up big time that the book took off.
I loved the chemistry between Beth and Razor. It was really done well... after Beth move into the clubhouse... Her goody christian behavior is actually such a touching plot point in the end... OMG... I am still crying!! **Tear-drop**
But the all time best ever in the uninverse "break-up" scene still has me reeling... OMG! I was angry, sad, excited, in shock, I think comotose at one moment, and even horrified!!! It was the best, I mean the best ever break-up scene I have ever read/listen too... It was so good... I forgave the beginning of this book...just to get to that scene... AMAZING...
Narration was so-so for me... that turn into just right... Like I said...the beginning is brutal, I just didn't like it at all... and then all of a sudden, the whiney voice of Beth just worked, the gruffness of Razor's voice worked really well...the story all just came together in the end...
So worth a credit or sale... and Yes, I think even a buy... simply because of that break-up scene.
So KNOX'S STAND is my favorite of the Last Riders Series, and I have read it maybe twenty plus times, but listening to it read was so much fun! ..Show More »r/>The Narrator was AMAZING...She literally makes you feel like you are right there, and he does the different voices so well, I had no trouble separating the characters. And she makes Knox sound as sexy as I had hoped!!
I think this one hits on the button in my heart...gets me EVERYTIME!!
This series is not for "normal" romance lovers. These bikers "share" ... are very dominant in sexual activities and expect the women t..Show More »o fall into place. What is appealing is that it does have a story line, a plot and character development. The sex is gritty .... the situations are voyeuristic and there is hot sex, steamy sex, dominant sex, shared sex ..... perhaps sale worthy.
The woman narrating Cash and Rachel's story was bad. Painfully bad...her male voices were awful and her gross mispronunciation of nearly every name in..Show More » the book was incredibly distracting. Do the audio producers not have any sort of editing involved in the process of making these audiobooks? I believe I would make that a priority for the following books in this series. I'm not sure who has final say on the narrators chosen for these specific audiobooks but I think it's fair to say they've dropped the ball on this one. Please bring back the narrator of the previous audio books in this series!! Other than the narrator issue, one can expect the same level of greatness we have come to appreciate from Jamie Begley in the previous books of this series.
Hurray, Elizabeth Hart was back to narrate and what a difference that made. The story was sexy and sometimes the characters, i.e., Willa started out ..Show More »very annoying but it was great to see her character get a backbone. I found myself laughing a lot. Ms. Begley writes the interaction between the characters wonderfully. I was laughing a lot with the back and forth between Ryder and Lucky and Shade and Moon. Very funny. Again, a sexy book with some very funny scenes. Thoroughly enjoyable and hurray for bringing back the narrator Elizabeth Hart. It seems Audible does listen to us, and that is much appreciated! Thank you Audible.
